Awesome game!!!

Great game Utes! I was there and it the HC was rockin tonight. I think this young team just needs some time together and they'll figure things out. Bummer we couldn't get it together against teams like Weber, Idaho and Seattle but at least it's coming together now.
Great job Boylen and go Utes!!!

Michigan who?

Michigan stinks. They lost to every decent team they played so far.

Idaho and Weber State, on the other hand...

UTE FAN

im a big utah fan. I'm not one thats gonna be upset if the basketball team loses some games because I realize their not amazing. I'm not like most BYU fans who think they are going to win a National Championship every year. Does anyone else think its funny that the Utes are like 4-3. Those three losses are to Idaho, Seattle(a team in its first D-1 season), and Weber State. Who would have thought they would lose to these teams while beating Illinois, Michigan and Utah State. I understand they are a really young team but its just funny

nice win

nice win utes you guys are coming together and learning how to play consistently and beat good teams. Go utes! And weber, and idaho aren't bad losses damian lilliard for weber is a stud, and idaho is like 8-1 right now so those aren't to bad of losses. They just have to play more consistent and they will contend for the MWC crown.

They are who we thought they are

This is a young, inexperienced team with good talent. This means that the team will beat some very good teams and lose to some very bad teams. They will be inconsistent this year, but they should be able to get their young stars some very valuable experience to set up some great seasons in the future. Henderson looks terrific for a Freshman, and Foster looks great for a Sophomore.

Sica Glauser

Marshall Henderson really did play fantastic. Our team is young, but they are shaping up quickly. Every team has their bad days, but the Utes will step up in the clutch.

Amazing

when you consider that the team is mainly composed of freshmen & sophmores. It's coming along nicely and Watkins is a BEAST and should be hitting his stride by the time Conference play rolls around. GO UTES!!!

Haters

Nice job UTES. This program is going to be a force. Great young nucleus. Plays tough schedule and continues to get better. Let the haters from down south do what they do best...hate...and continue to be a regional force... this program is on its way!!! Go UTES!!!!!!!!!

This team is getting better

just in time for conference games.
Go Utes!!!

celebrate basement wins?

Utes are easy to figure out. Michigan is a bad team at best. The only wins this year are against teams nobody has heard of. Wouldn't do any chest pounding at all. A mediocre Utah team beat a poor Michigan team.

Unlike the Jazz

They are playing their young guys rather then sitting them on the bench. Unlike like Jazz it isn't about winning division titles it's about playing in the big dance.

Now if only the Jazz can play Kofous to give him experience since Boozer will be leaving I wouldn't mind losing.

Yep, Young

Nice effort with the starter minutes. The thing you fail to mention is Utah has two Seniors and three juniors total. If you take a quick look at bench minutes the Utes play 3 Freshman, 3 Sophomores and 1 Junior. Of those minutes the underclassmen play a majority, not garbage minutes.

BYU is not that young. 3 Total Freshman and only one of them gets any minutes. Davies minutes have been mop-up. Most of the Cougar bench minutes are from Sophomores, which is nice. BYU has a nice class of Sophomores and as a team they are pretty young. But to say Utah is not young is laughable. Both teams should be good for a long time.

re: celebrate basement wins?

Why not. BYU just beat a 6-3 ASU team at home and there were many articles written about it. ASU, just like Michigan, has lost to every good team they've played so far.

So what's your point?

This team is playing some young guys, and is up and down. 3 bad losses, and 3 decent wins. Best wins of any instate teams are now: Utah v. Illinios, Utah v. Utah State, Utah State v. BYU, then Utah/BYU v. ASU/Michigan.

Just the facts. No reason to get all upset about it already.

Ralph Malph

Who cares about who plays for BYU.

Has their season started yet?

to RE Michigan WHo

Seems the Ute fans bring up BYU in their own articles before anyone else does. Hmmmm...

to RE Michigan WHo

So BYU can't run their mouths because they haven't won in the tourney for awhile, but Utah can after losing in the opening round as a 4 seed?

Dude

Foster looked very impressive. Watkins has some game and agressiveness. Henderson is a dime a dozen type player that can be shut down.

Utes are young and will finish just above 500 this year and make it to the CBI and threaten for the big dance next year.
