Every year I am shoveling more and more of that "Global Warming" off my driveway and sidewalk.
The "Carbon Dioxide" problem is mass hysteria in action.
In the 1950s there was massive cooling and it also was caused by "Carbon Dioxide".

what does one storm have to do with global warming? did either of them claim there would not be a storm this year? don't see how your complaint makes ANY sense.....just trying to bash Gore and Obama.

It's a storm not a climate! There is a very big difference.

al gore doesn't know what he's talkin about. that's why they call it "climate change" now instead of global warming. look at the history of the earth, this type of thing has happened before!

I just want to say that I live in Tooele and this is the worst storm I have seen in a long time. I have shoveled all morning and will soon have to do it again. We do need the snow, so I'm glad for it to be here.

Actually, they're just showing their total ignorance that other continents exist on Earth, or countries for that matter, besides a storm in SLC, which is just a tiny speck when you consider the whole "globe." Also, as I recall, it was said that global warming would produce more intense storms, both summer and winter. So, one could argue that Gore is right. Some would rather just show their ignorance about the world as a whole!

I think Chuck E. Cheese will redeem them for a flashlight, two Tootsie Rolls and a gumball.

I love how the anti-environmentalists use any record low temperature or snow storm as "evidence" that global climate-change isn't occurring. Global warming means global temperatures (especially ocean temperatures) are rising ON AVERAGE over the course of subsequent years. While global warming is undoubtedly occurring (while some may still debate whether man is contributing or not), it also means that winters may be more severe than in the past, hence not only a general warming trend but also climate change in the form of more extreme temperatures on each end, more severe weather, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, droughts, etc. I think if you look at the averages and the trends, you will see that the evidence is there that this is happening, maybe it's a sign of the times but that is no excuse to accelerate these problems by allowing this earth to continue to be abused when there are things we can do about it now.

Stick your heads in the sand if you want, but don't show everyone else how ignorant you are, it's embarrassing to you and everyone else.

Of all the surface area on earth, what percentage was effected by colder than normal weather. It was 95 in Alice Springs and Bangkok.

has had many cycles and changes. We do have an impact on what's going on, but we surely don't control it as much as we are being led to believe. What were the dinosaurs doing wrong when the Ice Age hit them? It's just the cycles of the earth and it is heading for total renewal, no matter what we do or don't do.

So, if the temperature goes up, then that's because of Global Warming?

But if the temperature goes down, then that's also because of Global Warming?

And if it's drier than it has been in the past then it's due to Global Warming, but if it's wetter than it has been in the past then that's also due to Global Warming?

And if the climate fluctuated between extremes in the past then that was due to natural variation, but any fluctuation since 1860 has been exclusively due to human activity?

Got it. I think we have now left the realm of science and entered the realm of religion.

For the True Believers, everything bad is due to man's sinful carbon-energy-based lifestyle. In order to Repent, we must cast away our sinful modern conveniences and pay penance.

the fact that people continue to repeat the same silly comments even after it has been explained to them numerous times the difference between weather and climate as well as the difference between past cycles and the present one only serves to reinforce my theory that some people are just willfully ignorant. We can argue what the causes of the current cycle are but it is silly to continue to make these claims in the face of facts.
