and remember that they are ANIMALS and that perfumes burn their sensitive noses and that sweaters and cutesy things stress them out. They aren't children or toys. They aren't meant to be used to help anyone's lack of self-esteem by being shown off and dressed up. Ridiculous. If you want THEM to be happy, let them be animals and treat them as such.
I love my dogs and cat much more than some of the people in my life, but let's be real. They are still dogs and cats! The whole dog = child has gone way to far. When you find yourself talking endlessly about your dog to other people, spending more money on your dog than your kids, or taking your dog trick-or-treating, then you know it's time to GET A LIFE!
