Boozer has been

playing very well. However, his plus minus for tonight was 0. That may be a quirk of the plus/minus stat.

Utah needed every one of Boozer's points. He also drew numerous double teams. Utah out rebounded the Pacers by a large margin or this would have been a loss.

Before everyone jumps on Boozer's D remember he was guarding Murphy who goes way out and shoots 3s.

I think it is safe to say that Boozer has been special in the last 4 games. He has carried the team offensively when needed. He has at times played good D.

I do not think Utah would have near as many Ws without Boozer.

Dave

Everyone is on the Boozer bandwagon. But most predicted that in the last year of his contract Boozer would be healthy, show up, and perform. Is it to help the Jazz or himself? When he leaves the team or is traded who will step in to fill the role?

re: Dave

What have you done for me lately, Boozer? Well, lately Boozer has been outstanding. I say we ought to enjoy this season while Boozer is producing. Maybe we will be shopping for a new PF soon, but we are winning now! Go Jazz!!!

It is so easy to forget the pains of last season. All you have to do is WIN! When you are winning so many other things smooth themselves out.

Boozer is just doing and showing what he has always had, Talent!
As long as he works w/the right partner,(Wms.) he'll continue to shine and help Utah win games.
All the critisizing of him because he talked about being traded is not going to diminish his capabilities.

I think it is great that Boozer is playing well. The better he plays, the greater his trade value will be, because someone is getting trader.

With the Jazz 10 million over the cap, it is just a matter of time. The Bulls still look like a great trading partner. They have been searching for a low post scorer for years, and the thought of pairing Boozer with another young point guard (D. Rose) might be too tempting for Bulls management to pass up.

The Jazz might take their lumps in the beginnning, but for the long range success, improvement, and future economic health of the organization, this must be done.

Can you spell CONTRACT YEAR.

Unfortunately the Jazz can't sign him to a series of 1 year contracts, conditional upon him playing like he is now.

BOOZER

`you have earned my respect back

booz 4 mvp

Boozers Rollin'!

Close your eyes and imagine what our team looks like without Boozers low post presence and his 36 points or whatever he finished with.

Now open your eyes from that nightmare because we probably lose to the the lowly Pacers!!

It is nice to get wins against these last few teams but lets face it--none of them are the elite teams we have to beat to do anything. Scary thing is though we may have lost to some of them without Boozer.

Lets see how Boozer does against the Spurs, Orlando, and the Lakers.

He will do alot better if his pathetic teammates could hit a consistent outside shot to spread the floor so he did not have to play against triple teams of Bynum, Odom, and Gasol.

We need consistent outside shooting in these next few games or our record is going to be declining fast.

Great to have CJ back eh?

He was 0-3 FG's and took 2 three point attempts. Sounds like a great strategy to get yourself going when you have not played a game this season! NOT!! Get to the rim CJ! Play DEFENSE!!

CJ +/-? MINUS 8!!!

Worst on the team.

What's Next

Player of the month?

Offers pouring in?

Jazz delay a move until they ride this train a few more weeks.

Then move Boozer?

Or keep him this year, have a decent playoff run and he moves on?

Lets not get all carried away and think that we should sign Boozer to another contract. Yes, he is having a fantastic season so far, and I really hope it continues. But, don't lose sight of the fact that he is EXTREMELY injury prone, with a very low tolerance of pain. As soon as he has his new contract, you can bet he will spend more time behind the bench then on the court. That being said lets not throw away this year by trading him, just to trade him. It needs to be a deal that solitifies the Jazz future success for years to come. The Jazz can afford the Lux tax this year. Harps contract will be paid by insurance and getting through a couple rounds of the playoffs will take care of the rest.

Jazz Cop

the jazz are good if boozer is good, boozer is good...

louisiana jazz man

havent played anybody with bigs playing def. but we all new boz would be playing good this year. new contract. no way they could keep him if they wanted to. are they going to not trade him by the deadline in feb and take his word he would stay. then they get nothing for him and he walks. he would have to be signed now to a contract that would be a mistake he would be hurt the next game. going to have to bite the bullet and trade him . sloan acts like he is not trading him tho not playing fes and kufes.so looks like stay tuned for more drama.

Steve

He will not be back next year. His stock is high right now, so trade him now!

todd from santa ana

The Jazz would be foolish to trade Boozer. Watch his form at the deadline. If off form then, depending on our playoff seeding and where we are, maybe then could pull off the trade for Bosh. Otherwise, might as well wait until off season.

Besides Paul could not fill Carlos shoes. Not his fault, I said it before, Carlos is a more skilled, experienced go to threat we would suffer if he left.

Read Sports Illustrated article this week on Bosh. He is on borrowed time..

THEeyepatch

...and still Boozer gets no love from the Jazz faithfull. With all the Championship banners in Energy Solutions Arena... um... wait... nevermind.

It won't last long. Lazy boy get tired.

Doug

Deron wanted to be leader this year but Boozer has played that card away from him. He has also played Millsap under the bench.

Talk of trading Boozer is humiliating. Name 3 people who are not on the Lakers that would number 1. help the Jazz and number 2. be willing to come here. Don't say Bosh as he would not come to Utah on a bet. Any other meaningful names come to mind? I thought not.

Boozer got a dose of reality this past off season where he was one of the leading free agents and did not get a contract offer. He knows his value, like Malone is greatest when he has an outstanding pg to get him the ball. That however unattractive to him is Utah. He is an all star here.

The Jazz re better off keeping him til the end of the year when they will get 12 million in cap relief rather than taking on another Korver/Brewer type player who are not in any way shape or form all stars but warm bodies to fill the bench.

Boozer is the man and if Jazz are lucky he will be here longer.
