What a great story and what a great example this man and his family are. I wish him and his family the best.
We wish you well Louis! Thanks for all of the wonderful things you've done for us at US Synthetic.
What a better world we would live in if everyone with the wealth of the Pope's shared it the way they do. He has proved that one person truly can change the world and make it a better place. From all those whose lives you have already touched and those you are yet to touch, I express my deepest gratitude!
What a great example Louis and family have provided. Not all of us have the resources and capabilities he has, but we can all help in some way. Contributing to organizations such as the ones he has founded is so much more effective than feeding them, though this is a start. When you help people draw from their own potential to be self-sufficient, the real help has begun.
I've known Louis and Chriss since I was a child and they are two of the most loving and caring people you will ever meet. I'm glad their efforts got a little press. Hopefully, it may motivate the rest of us, myself included, to do something that makes our world a little bit better. Good luck Popes.
You are a living inspiration to both us at UVU where you have helped and in Kenya where so many will be blessed. Lord bless you.
WOW! It is so nice of this gentleman to think about others and to give them an opportunity to better themselves! Kudos!
Another member does good! What a wonderful story. If only everyone would follow our example we would be in good shape.
I thought this was the best Christmas story the paper has run this year. How wonderful that we have individuals who choose to sacrifice to assist those who cannot help themselves. That is a real gift, selfless and sustaining. That is the Spirit of Christmas to me.
The most promising thing about Pope's work is the coconut oil. This will help people in many tropical countries. For many years there has been a glut in the coconut market, and countries such as Tonga have suffered.
I have read of work on making biodisle from coconut oil. If this could be done on a large scale it would allow us to get our fuel from stable contries like Tonga instead of extremist supporting ones like Saudi Arabia.
What an example. I hope I am in a position to do something like this someday!
Love and Leadership are so needed all around the world. Kudos to all who are putting their shoulder to the wheel. Good job dad!
Truly motivational. Thanks!
What an example. We should all travel the world and do our part - big or small. This proves that it takes just a little sacrifice and selflessness to change the world we live in - the funds are out there. I know CHOICE Humanitarian still organizes incredible service expeditions to Kenya several times a year - what a great way to get started. Congratulations, Mr. Pope!
Never seem a true Leader like this one. Working with Louis for so many years he always surprise and teach me with his example and perspective in life
I would love to work for free for him and his cause. Actually I'm working towards this goal. Thanks for your example
Louis will be greatly missed, but the culture and environment he has created will live and thrive after he has left! Thanks Louis and Chriss
Love this idea - it is so much more helpful to help these women build a business rather than just donating food or money. He is helping them build a better life, long-term. Fantastic.
This is such an inspiration. Sometimes the problems of the world seem so overwhelming, yet focusing on a particular problem, and putting your talents and resources there, can change so much! Thank you Louis, for this practical example!
Thanks Louis! We can feel your energy & emotion about this great work! Thanks for allowing us to share in this with you.
Louis, you are the most giving person I have ever met, and being able to work for and with you over the last 13 years has been my honor.
The ethics and values you have taught to us through you're example have bettered all those who have been lucky enough to know you.
Thank you so much for what you have done for me and my family. We will miss you.
Paul.
