I thank Gov. Mike Leavitt for his innovative mind set for the state 10+ years ago for making this all possible. I remember the slack he got for attaching his name to this project. Now its a flat out success.
Wow, has it been ten years? I too remember all the doubters although I never figured out exactly why. I ride it all the time.
Yes it has grown on some people and run over some people.
It is still anachronistic to use fixed guideway transit systems in the 2000's.
The UTA could serve many more people if it was not devoted to trains and large buses.
