Why make negative comments?
Wow Books and 2A. Totally not cool. This is a time to celebrate whoever gets in those positions. Hopefully there is quite a few options in each division. Just applause the one that was chosen and lets all move on. These five athletes are awesome and we all know it. They are not the only five, but they were chosen and lets congratulate them on great character and football players. All will be missed. Go Bradley Holmes! You the Man! Thanks! Remember jumping over and clearing the whole line, QB, and running backs to try and stop the only TD scored against you this season? Great memories! Great JOB!
Congratulations Tanner! Your hardwork has paid off so far. Good luck in the future.
Also, congratulations to all of these outstanding athletes.
Let JD Books and 2A run their gums. No one can argue the 2A MVP. Teams spent their entire game plan on trying to stop Jace, some slowed him down at times but no one stopped him all season. Its all good no worries, JD is still upset that his team of Destiny was spanked pretty much in their own back yard (40-13 those two scores coming against the 2's and 3's). Jace had 4 TDs that game and San Juan's Defense dominated. Oh yeah and San Juan brought home the 1st place trophy. So all I can say to JD about this football season is, Paper what???
Can anyone tell us what MVP's from previous years are doing. What schools etc?
Great job Bradley! We love you and will miss you a bunch! You will never be forgotten! :) love ya! Good luck in your future!
6'2 210 sounds like d1 material to me, whatever school misses out on him misses the beat defensive player out of the state of Utah
Congratulations to all of you great Utah Athletes. You should all be proud of your accomplishments.
6'2" 210 will easily grow to 6'2" 235 I will just say 2 names:
Mike Singletary
Zach Thomas
Both 5'10" at best and Hall of Fame talents
I guess the bigger question is he below 4.65?
You had an amazing year, we are so proud of you. Just saw your highlight film. It's sick! Many more offers to come for you. Keep up the hard work and congrats.
I tried to hold back but I can't anymore. Congrats Tanner. But how does a QB that breaks 5 records and tie a national record not get MVP, or Mr. Football? Not taking anything away from the athletes who received these trophies, but I am in shock. There hasn't been 1 QB that has broken that many records in 1 year for 10 years. I know I'm a homer and all but I feel bad for Hart. I guess if Jordan had a defense and went deep into the playoffs it might have been different. Oh well.
When a player sets his sites on setting records, they are playing for the wrong reason. Football is a team sport, the success of a QB has many variables. A strong O-Line, WR's that actually understand a play, have good hands and make sure that they come back to bail out the QB when under pressure. A QB is nothing without those important elements especially in a passing offense. I've watched Alex Hart, Quinn Meacham of Timpview and Christian Stewart of Timpanogas in years passed, great throwing QB's. The Manning kid from Logan, a solid dual threat QB, could have passed some of Riley Nelson's numbers if he played as many quarters as Nelson. I'm sure the coaches and recruiters see talent in Hart. Hopefully he can prove himself in the next level.
With every HS team going to the spread offense and throwing the ball the stats/numbers will continue to climb and records will continue to be broken.
it could be reasonably argued that there was another player(s) more deserving of the honor in all 5 classifications, depending on your point of view and how you want to define MVP. Unfortunately, it IS mostly about stats (and how far your team goes in the playoffs) not necessarily who was "most valuable".
Why Is it that there is always a parent crying about there kid. Just be happy for these kids. Tired about Jordan always with something stupid to say.
i have to agree with Jordan fan, Alex Hart was the real deal this past football season. 5 state records broken and a national record tied. I think credit should be given when credit is earned!
Nice Job T-hinds, an amazing player, and which ever college picks him, will be very lucky to have him on their squad
I agree. It is always nice to have a 21 yr old Freshman on your team.
