Rachel was one of the most outstanding girls I've ever taught and her loss is huge both to her family and to the world. I loved having her in class because of her dedication to her education and her brilliant comments and papers. Even more I will always remember our chats after class and her smiling face when we met in the hallways of Layton High School. We'll never forget her, but we will miss her!

sincer thoughts t`all her family~R.I.P Rachel Vigil~

I don't know her, but the loss of any young adult is tragic. My sympathy to her and her family, as I have a 16 year boy that also wants to drive soon. I don't know the details of the accident and don't want to. Our prayers go out to her and her family. They should know that we all mourn her loss.

Our Prayers are with the Vigil family.

I drove past the wreckage that night and it turned out i knew the girl. I'm heartbroken. She was such an amazing person. Her brother came home from his mission the day after. God bless her family.

The Mark Tolman Family

Our prayers are with all that are involved emotionally with this.
My daughter was a good friend to her brother who just returned from his mission.

They need to put up dividers on that crazy road.

Her Brother is my best friend and he got home from his mission hours after the accident. My prayers go out to the family. She will be missed greatly

The Breeding Family

This is so tragic and unfair on so many levels. Such a young soul to go so early in life. Our heart felt sympathies go out to all Rachel's sisters and her brother for losing such a lively and beautiful sister. Our sincerest condolences go out to Rachel's mother for having to endure the unthinkable. No parent should have to deal with the loss of a child especially at such a young age. Our hearts are sad and heavy at the Breeding household. We only wish we had had the opportunity to meet her.

Does anyone know if her parents are Candy and Richard or if her brothers name is Nick? Thank You!

Understanding Heart

We too had a recent loss and know that her family will miss her so much. I pray that they will find comfort in remembering her accomplishments and the time that they were given to share with her. She will be waiting for them.

There is a candlelight vigil for Rachel tonight at 7pm @ Andy Adam's park at the end of Gordon Ave. for all who wish to attend

I wrote this the day I found out...

"It Could Have Been"

It could have been me.
It could have been you.
It could have been your best friend.
It could have been my mom.
It could have been your sister.
But it was her.

This reality check the world is performing
Needs to end.
My heart aches for those who truely knew her
And aches for myself,
That I never had the chance.

I got up this morning,
Searching for anything yellow,
And saw I had none.
I wish I been able to respect such a wonderful spirit.
And so I write this.

People say things happen for a reason.
But I don't see the reason in this.
No one should die so young.
Or so tragically.

This whole thing is just so messed up.
I can't believe what we're being put through.
Layton Juniors... this is just not our year.

But we need to stand up
We need to keep living.
Loving Nate and Rachel all along the way.
Take the memories
And hold on tight.

Those memories is what will keep them alive

My daughter had met Rachel at the NYLF in California and told me what an amazing person, Rachel was. Just want to klet the family know that our hearts go out for you, in the moment of your greif and she will be in our prayers.

I worked with Rachel at surf and swim. She was an amazing person, beautiful inside and out. I will miss her very much.
