Throw the book at him. He already has confessed why waste money on a trial. He is an environmentalist terrorist.

in a sorry State

There is absolutely no reason for this to go to trial.

justin

let him go scott free. He was right, and still is, if we dont all start taking desperate measures, it is going to be ruined

too much

Let him go free and your asking for more episodes just like this to happen across our country. The only industry really keeping the west afloat right now is the natural gas industry & mining tie up more land to the legal black hole this has created & you're putting people out of work and filling lawyers' pockets in the meantime. The kid knew exactly what he was doing was wrong let him pay the penalty.. He should be made to work in the gas fields as a roughneck for a year and start him in the middle of the winter for an even more enjoyable experience..

RAYB

OF COURSE HE SHOULD BE PROSECUTED,WHO KNOWS HOW MANY BIDDERS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY TRAVELED IN GOOD FAITH TO BID ON THESE LEGITIMATE LEASES, ONE SICK PUPPY IS WHAT HE IS!!WHERE DOES HE THINK OIL COMES FROM?" WHO USES IT? HE SURELY DOES.WE ARE FORTUNATE TO HAVE OUR INFRASTUCTOR MOSTLY IN PLACE BEFORE THESE SUPER HERO'S BECAME INDOCTRINATED INTO THE GREEN FARCE!!

Honest

If they prosecute him and give him even a day in jail other will do the same nationwide. The auction house will have to pre-qualify everyone before the hold the auctions which is costly and time intensive for the auctioneers. They should anyway I am sure most land deals do not go through.

Lets see some more!!!

Hey Too Much I would welcome more episodes of the same to happen across the country. HE DID THE RIGHT THING! Corporate powers are too powerful, too corrupt, and blind with greed.... They produce our energy by the hard work of good people. They are destroying this country in the name of energy. Yes I use oil, yes I use electricity. I live in the same consumer driven country you do, but I try to use as little as possible. Our society is set up so the alternatives are very limited. WE NEED MORE TIM DECHRISTOPHERS out there. THINK ABOUT IT!

To "Let's see some more"

You are short sighted when it comes to the oil industry, just as so many others are. It isn't just for energy. That is only about 1/2 of what petroleum is used for. Everything you use that is made of plastic comes from petroleum. Your keyboard, your cell phone, the ink in your printer, the synthetic fabrics you wear, or your furniture is upholstered with. The list is endless. Just Google "Products made with petroleum". Very informative websites available. We live in the Uintah Basin of eastern Utah where drilling and oil and gas production are the foundation of our economy. So many people are out of work. Part of it is the decrease in the market price of crude oil. A lot is due to the difficulty in getting permits to drill. The government is sitting on over a million $ worth of already-paid-for drilling permits/leases. Many drilling companies are pulling out and going to other areas, such as Pennsylvania, where they can work. Alternative energy, IN ADDITION to petroleum production, will help keep people working. We are desperate over here! And we need to become independent of foreign oil.

Dave

I suppose all of you that feel his actions are justified because of his beliefs, also feel the same about Al Quiada.

Pay Up

Easy solution. Make the guy pay for the bids that he put in. If he can pay, put him in bankruptcy, put a lein on his holdings. Make him pay for his stupidity. If I win a bid on something in an auction I am held accountable for that. What is the difference?
