I can't wait

...to see amazing results during this legislative session Rob. I expect you to go far above and beyond to fix the mess you and your cronies created with UCAT's integrity.

Board members, do the world a favor and step down. This was a PR disaster and monumental waste of time. I hope the names of the four who missed the interviews are released. Cowards! You couldn't pay respect enough to listen???

UCAT Instructor

Congrats President Brems!!! I am so happy to have a leader in place with the self control, integrity, and enthusiam of President Brems. Welcome back and I can't wait to see the great things that you UCAT will accomplish in the future.

UCAT Board

UCAT Board Members (at least four) have demonstrated their lack of commitment to UCAT by failing to attend a most critical meeting. It appears the oversight of UCAT should be put under the Board of Regents where it belongs.

Boo Previous comment

The regents do not have the best interest of UCAT at heart. They merely want to control and diminish the ATC's. You really don't know what your talking about.

Mess

What a mess! I guess the real test will be whether Bramble and Lockhart get them to use UCAT funds to help out with a parade float for the GOP. Does Brems get another big pay package for making it through yesterday's vote?

UCAT

So there are republicans and extreme republicans. Most of the extreme group hail from Utah County. Seeing the influence of this group in another paper and the fact that UCAT has always been wighted by this influence, why should I be surprised by the formality that took place yesterday?

Trustees: MAN UP.

countrygeek

Brems is the best choice by far. The liberal left wing will always find something to cry about. Brems did no wrong.

Bill

The UCAT board has been irresponsible. While both Brems and Bouwhuis understand applied technology education and have leadership experience, only Mike Bouwhuis' professional career is above reproach. And he has more experience in positions of institutional leadership.

I blame this decision on Tom Bingham. He is a lobbyist, and he knows how to please legislators. He has manipulated the UCAT board so that he can please his legislator friends.

Sham

What a sham and a shame.

floatgate

What is sad is that the Legislators implicated in Floatgate are still at large. What is the bigger travesty?

How

pathetic that Brems says he can not tell his side of the story without making "disparaging statements about the Board of Regents." So his only defense of his actions would be to accuse the Board of Regents in some way?

Agreed

This is irresponsible of the board.

That 4 trustees would miss a vote on a decision of this magnitude..

And 7 votes is less than half of the board!

That anyone buys this false show of reconsidering the decision..

And there wont be ethic investigation into this farce.

That only 5 trustees saw the harm Brems will do to the college system..

And No trust in Brems will mean No progress for the technology schools.

Bossman Brems: "This is .ABSOLUTELY NOT. the beginning of a great new era for UCAT."

UCAT will se great growth!

Brems is the man for the job! Anyone who disagrees take it up with the board that has voted him in twice over the past month and a half. Dispite what people say Brems has the knowledge and determination to lead UCAT the be the successful college that the Board of Regents didn't want it to become. People who know nothing of the situation please get a life and stop commenting on things that you just don't understand. Thank you from all of Utah!

Oh, we understand...

Only 44% of the full board voted for him. How can that be any sign of support? Knowledge and determination will not overcome the damage this stunt has caused UCAT. Despite what you say, others do understand exactly what happened here, and if they understand or do not, and if they are for or against, all should be allowed to comment.

31% of the board voted for the other guy. Looks like Brems won.
