Good work Ogden PD!
IT WAS NOT OGDEN PD, IT WAS ROY PD WHO DID NOT RESPOND TO THE BODY SIGHTING APPROPRIATELY. AS FOR WEBER COUNTY SHERRIFS DEPOT, THEY DID CALL OUT SEARCH AND REASCUE AT LEAST TWICE WITH THE DOG TEAM BOTH TIMES. THEY DID SEARCH THE FIELD WHERE SHE WAS FOUND WITH HORSES AND CREWS ON FOOT. EVERY TIP THEY GOT THEY FOLLOWED UP ON. I KNOW KAY AND THE FAMILY, I HELPED LOOK. SHE OBVIOUSLY FOR SOME REASON OR ANOTHER DID NOT WANT TO BE FOUND. HER BODY WAS NOT THERE LAST TIME CREWS WENT OUT LOOKING FOR HER AND SHE HAD BEEN SPOTTED ALIVE SINCE THE LAST SEARCH AS WELL. A VERY SAD SITUATION, MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS WITH THE FAMILY.
Wow, the cops need to start doing their jobs. I bet if it was a call about some kids smoking marijuana they wouldve sent out the whole force.
It seems to me that both Roy City and Weber County failed in their attempts to do their jobs. It sounds like neither Roy City PD or the Weber County Sheriffs office really want to protect us, but I'll just bet if it were one of their loved ones or one of their own, they would have been more interested in their search. But it seems to me all they did was to pass the buck from one department to the other. Who knows, she could have still been alive when she was first found. Jeff
No matter who it was that did not respond, I think all of the police departments need to take a good look at how they respond to every call. This was someone's daughter, wife and mother. A special person that needed help. Now her children and husband are left to try and survive without her. How heartbreaking for all of her family. To know her mother lay in a field for days because she was unimportant to a police officer. Maybe the caller should have lied and said it was a drug ring and stuff had been hidden out there. Mhy he would have taken out a team, even the dogs I suppose. Shame on all of you who as was stated slacked off. I would like to see you explain why you did not search to her children. Maybe you can help take them to school, cook for them, help them with homework. We are all people in need of your help from time to time. You are PUBLIC SERVANTS. TO SERVE AND PROTECT. Right?
This entire story is sad and heartbreaking. Seems as though there were several errors associated with the police and search efforts. Whether she was found dead or alive the way this story ends is very hard to live with and makes it so much more difficult to accept. My heart goes out to her family.
Your kidding, right? The couple that originally found the body 10 days earlier got no response. After the first attempt to find the body, there should have been further contact with that couple. The ball was dropped!!! (Oh wait, all caps carries so much more truthfulness) THE BALL WAS DROPPED!!!
