The only weakness

was foul shooting and most of that was Fez at 3-8. I was impressed with Fez's game. He looked good and moved well and changed the POR offense when he was in.

Sloan deserves credit (I am a critic most of the time) for coaching with a short bench. His using Okur and Fez as twin towers and a 3 guard offense may be very good in some situations.

Outside shooting did POR in against MEM and the trend continued tonight. The outside shooting opens up the inside and the get killed there also.

The Sloan system is a thing of beauty when it is not disrupted.

The Jazz will not always shoot 61%. If Millsap and AK stay out Koufos will have to play. Can Boozer play the 3? DWill will have to log minutes at the 2 with Maynor at PG since there is only Mathews and Brewer to play the 3/2.

I also think that a HUGE part of the Jazz' recent success is DWill playing the 2-guard position behind Eric Maynor. DWill running behind screens and turning that corner like Matt Harpring used to do all the time has been hugely successful. DWill has an amazing stroke at mid-range and taking a pass and being able to catch and shoot like that greatly increases rhythm and comfort while taking a shot. I think that's mainly why DWill has been shooting so well lately. He's great at creating shots for himself but having Eric Maynor control the point position and have DWill speeding around screens and taking open jumpers off a pass has been dramatically effective. I HOPE Sloan and the staff keep that up. It's new for DWill to so frequently play the 2-guard position but Eric Maynor at the point. KEEP IT UP!!!
