Thank you Max Hall for calling all University of Utah fans "classeless". Thank You Mr. Hall for being the epitomy of why Utah fans behave the way we do. The over-the-top self-righteousness is beautiful. I wonder what Christ would think of your "hate" and your loathing of Utah fans and the school that Brigham Young founded? I wonder if Christ would approve of your "hate" and accept that instead of turning your cheek as he taught? I wonder if "love thy neighbor" doesn't apply to a rival? Congratulaions on your win, and may your hate fester forever, as the son of perdition has taught...
I have to say as a avid BYU supporter Max's career has been mediocre and really he has left us feeling empty many times. His post game rant was so low class but I for one am glad we get to move on. He never measured up to what he came here for so good game and good riddance. Bring on Riley:)
As a fan of neither team but merely someone who lives in the state (ASU grad) I do have to say that BYU seemed to have the more potent offense and Utah got hot but not until it was too late.
Not sure what is up with Max Hall, he seems like that guy that never lived up to expectations. His comments post game unfortunately don't sit well with people outside of the LDS bubble. Too bad he is a poor representation of the school and the rivalry.
Great college football game though, neither team should hang its head.
I love watching Utah football and it was a nail-biter, but Utah made too many mistakes to win and BYU capitalized on them. I'm excited about Wynn and look forward to next year.
I graduated from the U in December 2004 and subsequently worked for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am an Eagle Scout, served a full-time mission, recently graduated from law school (not a Utah school) and passed the bar, and I hope I make my wife never regret marrying me. I have many Mormon and non-Mormon friends who appreciate my honesty and courtesy (I know, I know, lawyers right? But I follow Honest Abe's advice, if you can't be honest and be a lawyer, then don't be a lawyer, or something like that).
If this is all 'classless' because of the school I attended, well, I'll take it.
Max Hall proved again toight that BYU is consistent and the Utes have higher highs and lower lows. It is amazing that the BYU QB with the most wins will walk away with only one conference championship. Ute fans have their two BCS bowls . . yet they also have 27-0 against UNLV.
Tonight . . my preference is consistency.
Well, enjoy your consistent trip to a second-tier bowl game.
You nearly got housed on your home field by a team led by freshman quarterback (in this 4th start) in a rebuilding year with two new coordinators.
Charge the field, enjoy consistency and that amazing second place finish.
See you next year.
26-23
Not sure that bragging about your accomplishments, shows a lot of class. Maybe Hall has a point????
BYU now has won 3 out of the last 4 meeting with Utah. Who is the better football team? Max Hall is a great QB, one of the greatest at BYU and the MWC. Funny how all of the Ute fans upset at Max's comments then go on to act just as "classless" as the Ute fans claimed him to be. BYU won. Get over it and Max owned you in the postgame comments. You don't like it how about you win?
It's unfortunate that Max let himself get carried away by his emotions, but his impression of Utah sports isn't too surprising considering the constant barrage of abuse he and his family have had to endure from the insufferable Utah fans for the past year.
Not all Utah fans fit the mold of the fans that Hall was criticizing, but there is a sizable minority of Utah fans who fit that mold to a T.
Hiding behind the anonymity of the web, they'll pretend to be offended, when in reality, Hall's description is mild compared to how the really behave.
" in a rebuilding year"
Sorry my friend. You can keep saying it, but this is not a rebuilding year for Utah. Next year is your rebuilding year. Utah loses 24 seniors after this season.
Rise & Shout!!

My what a difference a year makes. After last year's game Ute fans couldn't wait to face Hall again, because he connected on more passes to the boys in red than the boys in blue. Well, you had your wish; but while Max didn't have a stellar game, to his credit he didn't throw a pick & he made the key play when it mattered most. Bottom-line: be careful what you wish for!!!
"So can you feel the love? Max Hall's post game comments are far from humble or gracious with the team's 26-23 victory. You may have heard of a sore loser, but this may begin a new term, the "sore winner".
Way to represent the church Max, now look what the country is saying about you and the university!!!
Not too many comments about the article here. I was surprised about how the author cites several examples of the unexpected and the states as fact that USU will have a losing season next year. That seems to deny the logic of his argument.
