Lehi Aggie

Congrats Coach Andersen, your program is up and going strong. I can't wait for next year. With a crop of new recuits and a full year of football the Andersen way we'll be bowling next year.
GO AGGIES!!!

Hey Utah State, NICE job on getting 4 wins this year.

Looks to me like your new head coach is well on his way in helping turn your program around.

Good luck!

Aggie in Iraq

Way to go Aggies! Wish you the best of luck next season. Now let's take the conference by storm next year!

ohio aggie

Four wins. A positive direction or an abberation?

Go Aggies!!

It is awesome to end the year with a win! Hopefully they can build on this year and go to bowl game soon. Way to go Aggies and Coach A!!

Even if the Aggies had lost tonight, what has happened this year has set the stage for next year . Aggies will take 2nd in the wac next year and have there first winning season in a long time. Good thing the UTES dont play them next year..

Work your guts off in the off-season Aggies.

A team that only won 3 D.I games, one win was to a D.I-AA team, no D.I non-conference wins and losing 15 seniors is going to improve next year? ? ? Give me a break. All the WAC teams will be improved next year and I thinking the Aggies are headed for 9th place. I can't see any thing at Logan that's going to improve things. Next years schedule is ever bit as difficult as this years, if not harder. Improving wins just isn't in the cards, fans. Automatic loses to Boise State, Fresno State, Nevada, BYU, and the rest of the unknown to me non-conference foes comes to seven loses. Leaving only 5 games with a chance to win. Figuring the odds that comes out 3 wins 9 loses. Where's the improvement? Until the Aggies recruit players that are as good as Utah's, BYU's and Boise State's nothing going to chance in Logan. From what I see good player have no desire to live in Logan for four years. The Aggies are what they are, live with it. Go Aggies ! ! ! !

solid year

I haven't been so optimistic about Aggie football in a long time. Even though they only won 4 this year, they played well against several teams that should have beat them more.

Considering 3 of those losses were by 4 points or less and the Aggies led or were tied going into the 4th quarter, they need to learn to finish as strongly as they start. This could easily have been a 7-5 year!

Offense should be in good shape with Turbin and Borel back. The defense has played well for long stretches at a time this year, but has to learn to not give up big plays.

Based on past experience, I was SURE we would get a bunch of sour U and Y fans on here with something negative to say. Finally, for once, they had their minds on other things.....wonder what.... ;)

A decent end to the a decent season, thanks for working hard and playing with gusto, and thanks to Andersen. I look forward to a winning season next year!

SCA

watch out for next year for sure, the negatives are just closet (and outright) byu "fans", we will be MUCH better next year, even if we lose 15 seniors, big deal. Kane Wilson will give Borel a legitimate backup spot, I bet we'll see Kane finish a few games next year. The future does look bright at USU!

Automatic losses to Fresno State and Nevada? Are you kidding? Did you even watch this team this year? We not only could have beaten both of these teams this year, we should have beaten them both. We led Fresno State at Fresno until 4 minutes left in the game and really outplayed them (I was there. Were you?). Same story for Nevada in Logan. (I was there. Were you?). We were a few plays away from 7-5 - a HUGE improvement over last year. Andersen has us moving in the right direction. Thanks Coach A!!!

Aggies

Nice year Aggies! While we lost some that we should have won it is apparent that Anderson is instilling a winning attitude in Logan and building a program that can compete.

This Aggie is very excited about our program's future.

turbin is a machine. i can't believe he's only a sophomore! sure we're losing some seniors but we have a lot of talented underclassmen and i'm confident coach can bring in a lot more talent.

i'm cautiously optimistic about next year. this years' team was tougher than in the past. we just need to learn how to play with a lead and expect to win the close games!

go aggies!

This has been a good start to the Anderson era. Its a step in the right direction, and I will be surprised if we aren't a better team next year!

Good work this year AGGIES! Hold your heads high! Its not easy to dig yourself out of a deep hole, but you have me believing!

So excited to watch the AGGIES continue to Improve, Maybe not 2nd next year but will be no-less than 3rd place..
They have broken through the ICE..

I agree USU would KIll the Utes if they weren't too scared to play us.

Logan Aggie

Winning 2 of the last 3 gives us some momentum going into the offseason. As far as offense is concerned, we're not losing any huge pieces. As far as defense is concerned, I don't think losing guys from one of the worst defenses in the country is going to hurt us. At worst, we stay where we are at. At best, we get some younger guys to work their guts out and really get used to playing the an system we now have, and improve dramatically. No reason not to be optimistic.

Chill out

The U wasn't too scared to play us, they just scheduled some harder teams, thy'll be back on in a couple years and we should make the games a lot more fun! I'm excited to see Aggie football in the next couple of years. Too bad I'm leaving on a mission in 2 weeks... I'll miss the rest of Turbin's career. Borel and Turbin are totally legit. Our defense will improve in the next cuople of years though. Go Aggies!

Ogden Aggie

Is four wins a great season? No way! However, when the Aggies are only 13 points away from seven wins it is a marked improvement. As a lifetime Aggie I am getting tired of mere improvement, but mark my words, Utah State football is on the way up! With a top 25 in the nation offense returning, Gary just needs to get some work done on defense. I am confident that he will do just that as he brings in his recruits. Watch out world, here come the Aggies!!!

UTAG

Great victory at Idaho when it would have been easy to fold the tents and mail it in while a long ways from home and few were watching closely. It was one of those pride games you win because you play to win and nothing else will do. This will provide helpful momentum for off-season prep as well as evidence to new recruits that positive changes and legitimate progress are materializing.
Although this team has found it tough to finish games, they've never quit trying. IMO that's a mark of good coaching. I think they've bought into GA's system and now need a second good recruiting year to infuse more size, strength and depth.
Congrats and many thanks to the departing seniors. Yes, a few games got away from us and we could have done better. And there's still a ton or work to do. Even so, I'm excited at the progress, grateful to have GA at the helm, and excited for spring ball and further momentum. The feeling around the program is immeasurably better than it's been in decades. Go Ags!

Lehi Aggie

UTAG...Ditto
Idaho Aggie... get a clue. Did you go to any games?
These young men worked their butts off and gave it their all. I was very impressed watching them all year. Coach A has several recruits already for next year. A few JC and this years crop will make a huge impacted on the team. USU had the lead in EVERY game except BSU and they were tied with 6 mins to go in the half. Logan is a great place to go to school. The coaching staff will not only build a talent and successful team, they will build great young men.....GO AGGIES!!!!!
