will Utah hang on to the 8th seed in the West? OKC plays HOU at home next as HOU goes on a 4 game road trip. However, NO has been playing well lately and could move up.
OKC and PHO look like they could be for real while Utah fumbles around deciding if they will play every other game. SA is off to a slow start but they are ahead of Utah and may be righting the ship.
There is a big difference between 8/7 and 13/3, 12/4,12/4 and 11,3 the top 4 seeds. Utah would be 11/3 if they had won their home games.
This team has a long ways to go before they can convince fans they might even get a 5th seed?
It's a legitimate four team race, even with the kind of effort they had against chicago...the jazz can be competive, but clearly, they aren't going to beat good teams without it.
Instead of bringing in AI, here is the likely lineup "sloan and his sloanaholics" will have soon
PG DWIL
SG BREWER
SF MILES
PF BOOZER
C OKUR
Look Familiar?
Off the Bench, Korver, Kirilenko, Millsap, Maynor
Price, Matthews, Fes likely end of the bench
Koustos in D League
Prove me wrong
Last take on Iverson:
It is beyond ridiculous the criticism from the posts about Iverson
I hate The Lakers
Yet in the past they have taken "chances on perceived Prima Donnas"
Rider and Rodman failed
Mychael Thompson and Mcadoo Worked out
Many of you, except in my cabinet, perceive Iverson wrong.
This is not 2000 but 2009 Iverson
A 34 year old without a ring can be humbled. Boozer, DWIL and Korver (who should know) all had great things to say about Iverson.
The difference is because of "sloan and the Sloanaholics power and control" will not allow these guys to convince him to come here, such as "a gag order".
Magic, Byron, WOrthy would talk to these guys as to what to expect, how to act, how to fit in (see ARtest this year) and guys would produce.
With Iverson, DWIL could play maybe 35 minutes and be fresher
With Iverson you have a needed outside threat, further opening up defenses and helping PAul and Carlos.
With Iverson, you can win more shootouts even wit continued poor interior defense
With Iverson, this offense is as potent as anyone
The Jazz with Iverson potentially would only be behind the "fakers"
could not have said it better myself. also jerry after this year please retire.
I'ts not sloan that keeps some biggies in the league not wanting to come here. the wrong kind of spirit prevails in Utah, most of the hot dogs prefer the other one. we have a good moral group in the Jazz. lets keep it that way please!
re:todd
Agreed AI could bring alot to this team, primarily a guard that needs to be defended, giving the others a bit more space.
Problem is where do the Jazz find the money from?
