MEM just beat POR at POR. The Blazer starters played big minutes the subs were duds. POR should be tired when they get to Utah.
CHA beat CLE, WAS beat MIA and NY almost beat DEN at DEN.
year and best team when they played DWill and Fish together. They have been weaker since Fish left.
Maynor will need all of the this year to fully develop but he is already an asset. Playing DWill at 2 is a big help. He can make the outside shot or run the offense from the 2. That puts a lot of pressure on the opposition defense. As Sloan said, people are in position for rebounds and also stopping the fast break. Having a 2 who can shoot, drive and pass is a big positive for the Jazz.
Smart outside shooting plays instead of adlibing by individual players helps the Jazz tremendously.
Sloan needs to think of ways to incorporate more outside shooting plays into his system so that the inside game does not bog down.
The inside system is awesome when it runs, but it can be disrupted if there is not a credible threat from the outside.
If the Jazz can win until CJ and Korver get back they should be in position to move up the standings.
CJ and Korver will not solve all the problems, but the Jazz should stop losing bad teams at home.
Sloan's first successful two point line up was Stockton and Hornacek..Jeff played alot of pg before he came to Utah..
If you guys remember, Hornacek opened up the Jazz offense with his shooting and his low post passes to Ksrl..
trading Jeff Malone for Jeff H made the Jazz a legit contender..
Williams is not as fast as he was before the ankle injury, so the Jazz get many few easy baskets.
Williams played shooting guard on the olympic team and could become the leagues leading scorer at that position.
Maynor brings speed and can penetrate (so can Williams.
The Jazz score much easier and are much, much harder to guard when both are playing together.
When both were playing together during the Thunder game the Jazz made a comeback.
During the Bulls game the Jazz pulled away when they played together.
I think they should start Maynor And Williams.
If playing two point guards is so great, then why not play three or four at the same time?
I remember Sloan playing Fisher at the two guard. We had a decent season in spite of that blunder, not because of it. We went to the Western Conference finals that year because Dallas chocked and we lucked into playing Golden State in the second round. That was a young team which wasn't "conference finals" good, but showed a lot of future potential.
That good young team did nothing but get worse over the years and will continue to do so until a coach which demands effort on defense and until a coach which is willing to develop young talent is on the Jazz bench.
Hornacek had that sweet floating jumper in the lane, one of the toughest shots to defend...anybody with that has always been a player i automatically like, not many players have had that shot.
dwill stays cool and protects the ball, and the jazz are a better team, be cool man, just be cool.
sloan needs to cut down on his cliques, lets try to speak meaningfully.
O COnnor the worthless
Stand pat-pleasing to Sloan and "the sloanaholics"
Continuity: They say "groovy" and "thank you"
Reports this morning Allen Iverson is going back to Philadelphia and will be announced in a few days.
Obviously, it would Be Matthews whose time would have been affected in event AI came off bench.
I love seeing young guys development, only at expense say 15-20 ppg per game his whole career.
James, Jeff Malone did help the Jazz play one year in the Semi Finals vs The Blazers.
I truly believe if it was up to SLoan, "his sloanaolics" and Greg and Kevin.
You would see this same group for the next 10 years win or lose
Please, please, please - GIVE IT A REST!
Your whining and constant complaining is becoming ridiculous. It doesn't matter what anyone suggests or does, you will never be happy until we get a new coach and get rid of KOC.
We get it, but we are tired of hearing the same old drum beat over and over. Your comments are now older than Sloan...
I think we all pretty much agree that Todd needs a life other than blogging. Complain.....complain....complain.
But if it makes him happy let him go at it...we can just skip over his comments when we see his tag. Love the Jazz...keep on keepin on !
I have a life..
You are a joke by the way. Just thought I would share that with the rest. You know it is funny when the team wins all the "sloanaholics" come out, but you know what?
I am here win or lose, by the way you showed your "lack of" by not giving a name on your post other than "what a complainer"
Your credibility has ceased
This will make the complainer happy...
