Off in the distance,a Wildcat did growl, and as the game approached, the wind began to howl.Don't look now,but the 'Cats are coming on strong. There is going to be some fur flying in Provo tonight.Hide the women and children or at least don't let them sit courtside.Weber State is ready to roll.

Tested?

Here is the problem with BYU sports in general (and I'm a fan). They have won four games, but now things start getting tougher with....? North Carolina? Duke? Texas? Nope....Weber State! I know the writers have to try to keep things positive, but let's not do it at the expense of the fan's intelligence. Write the truth. BYU has done well and should get another easy win vs. Weber State. Raise the bar and play some good opponents. Don't try to convince us that an average opponent is really good. Please, make BYU sports better by playing really tough teams. Where are the ACC and Big East opponents? Even the Pac-10, in a very down year for them in basketball, would be better than we've been seeing.

Bub, wow that was quaint. Is the Mtn. still broadcasting in Standard Def, what a pain I noticed some football games are HD man let's boycott the MTN till they are 100% HD

WSUfan

Good luck today Wildcats!

Yes, Tested!

The problem is the tougher teams will NOT play BYU.
Plus BYU is playing Arizona and Arizona State.

Cougfan4 life

Tested, hate to be repetitive, but there simply aren't a whole lot of takers out there for what we're offering,to whit 1for 1 home and away.BYU tries to get around that by playing in whatever tournaments they can,but that plus the ESA venue games only get you so far.we are playing 'Zona and ASU in Dec. which ain't bad.just got to keep winning what's on the schedule and then demolish the Utes!

re: Tested

You're not much of a fan if you don't even know BYU's schedule this season.

"Where are the ACC and Big East opponents? Even the Pac-10..."

Wed, Dec 2 at Utah St. (anyone who thinks that winning in the Spectrum is easy couldn't possibly be a college basketball fan)

Tue, Dec 8 ARIZONA STATE

Sat, Dec 12 at Fresno St. (usually pretty good, especially at home)

Tue, Dec 22 at Nevada (see Fresno St.)

Mon, Dec 28 at ARIZONA

Sat, Jan 9 at UTEP (see Fresno St.)

Real Story

Hey, why are they going so many places, yesterday was Thanksgiving, I remember that every family goes to visit their families, can't EVERYBODY get a decent day off on Thanksgiving?

RE: Bub

Yeah, the mighty Wildcats are coming on strong after a stunning defeat of mighty Western State. They should really give the Cougars a run for their money.

Bub II

The mountain air was crisp. Not a hint of tee lee on the vines. What was that? The rustling sound of the mighty Cougar. WATCH OUT, little 'Cats', you're about to be hunderlated by the "BIG CAT!"

Wildfan

No way WSU is good enough to beat BYU in provo this year, and I'm a WSU fan. I've just seen much better Wildcat teams than this come away from Provo empty handed.

Still, this should be a decent game. WSU will come out slow and get down by 20+ points early in the 2nd half, then make a furious comeback, cut it to 5 in the closing minute and lose by 9. That's been their M.O this season.

BYU

is going down!!!

Weber State is aiming for the top of the Big Sky this year and is lookin' to make some noise in the NCAA tourney this year.

BYU will likely come in with their guard down due to looking down their noses at Weber and will likely be down by 20 points before they know what is happening!

T

I'd love for the Cats to get a win, but unforunately I don't think that is happening this year. We have some good players but not all the pieces are together. We are struggling early and unless we pull together this game, I assume we lose by 10+. As long as we protect the 3 well, we may have a chance, but we haven't been doing that. By the way, fresno state isnt that good, so that can hardly be called a quality win.

People will look at playing Weber State as a decent game, WSU has had decent notoriety in the past. Plus they won the conference last year, so as long as WSU wins it again, it's not like other schools only schedule very difficult opponents in their non-conference.

Also, I hate to break it to you, but losing to USU in the spectrum doesn't look good. Hardly anyone outside of the WAC and the state of Utah know how hard it is to win in the spectrum.

WSUfan

It's so wonderful I'm a fan, why can't you all appreciate the wildcats and their talent?

Real Story

WSUfan, do you remember me?
Yellow Books something?
from a wildcat fan
discussion long ago?

WSUfan

Weber State is thee BEST!

MormonDem

Give it a rest. BYU basketball: Unbeaten Cougs to host Weber St. and start acting again like a swarm of mosquitoes that bites a female active torso of a mannequin in a mannequin factory, in Utah, and calls it another loss lifestyle choice.

Re: Re: Tested

I agree with your statement, minus one point. Fresno State isn't good at basketball. They haven't been in a few years, and they aren't supposed to be this year.

hunderlated?

What does hunderlated mean? I just did a search on google, and I think you came up with an entirely new word. Of course, hunderlated could be a perfectly cromulent word.

Nice Try

Well, it was a valiant try. But you still got pounded by the Cougs in the end.
