FSU and TCU had no problem with BYU's secondary. The question is can Utah stop the run if so look for Max's favorite receivers in Red to be open, specially Kruger.
And why is Logan the most thrown at corner in the country? Obviously NOT because any of the other teams have feared him! Neither with the Utes!! This article has made him even more of a target! Go, UTES!
To the 2 Ute fans who've posted:
You'll notice BYU's player responded with class and respect towards the Utes. Like usual. Then here come the two Ute fans talking trash like usual.
Bravo Utes. And you call us the arrogant ones?
As much as some Utah fans would like to think so, Utah isn't nearly as good as TCU, or even Florida State.
Passing efficiency
#2 Max Hall (BYU) - 167.16
#8 Andy Dalton (TCU) - 156.04
#15 Christian Ponder (Fla St) - 147.71
#30 Terrance Cain (Utah) - 139.40
UR Jordan Wynn (Utah) - 133.31
Total Offense
#5 TCU - 472.64 ypg
#10 BYU - 452.73 ypg
#21 Fla St - 434.73 ypg
#51 Utah - 397.91 ypg
Defense
BYU vs TCU 412 yds and 38 pts
Utah vs TCU 549 yds and 55 pts
Waaaah! It's all in fun. If you are looking to be offended, you will be offended. Quit acting like a teen age girl. You don't offend me even though I don't lke you this week. Next week we'll be friends.
If two YBU fans commented with class why couldn't you follow their example ?
Utah by 5
Do all Utah fans hate BYU fans this week? If so, then I need to change my plans for tonight FAST!
Here's to a more civil day amongst the fans. Should be a good game tomorrow.
Since Wynn has now been the starter for 4 games, does Whit now think that not naming him the starter at the beginning of the year was a mistake? Would the Utes have beat Oregon with Wynn playing?
for the Cougar faithful. How many times do we have to get your stats when the only stats you need are the "W" and the "L" stats. Take it a step further...How many "W" stats vs. "L" stats do the Cougars have in BIG GAMES? What???....having trouble with that one? Let's look @ this year that should be simple. OK Big Game on National stage "W" (are U following along Cougar accountants??) "W" stat for OK now another game this season FSU. Can U tell me what stat we put with that one? "L" U are correct! (your catching on fast) Now for another big home game, TCU. The answer: "L" your correct again!!(I think you enjoy stats alot) Now for Utah upcoming on Saturday...Hmmm..there is no "W" or "L" yet so how do we stat that one....Hmmm I guess we will have to PLAY THE GAME!!! Whenever we don't have a "W" or "L" we always have to play the game. Thats why they call it a Football game. Who will win still needs to be determined. All untangible stats say that the UTES WIN IN A BLOWOUT!!! Go Utes!
BYU will Wynn the game. Wynn isn't that good and may not be the starting QB next year or next week if whittingham changes his mind. His passer rater/efficiency is lower than Cain's. utah has not beat anybody this year and Saturday will be the same. Cougars will win and claim a fourth straight 10-win season.
Logan vs. Reed on a deep post? hahahahahahahahah!!!
I like our chances just fine.
How about Utah in big games this year: Oregon "L" and TCU "L". So I missed the part where the Utes have more "W"s in big games this year than BYU. Maybe worry more about your own team's struggles in big games this year than your opponent's. To save you the trouble: last year's record in big games doesn't matter (favors Utah), just like 2 and 3 years ago doesn't matter (favors BYU).
What "untangible" (should be intangible but whatever) stats point to a Ute blowout?
The only way BwhineU wins 10 games this season is if they win their bowl game. History in not in your favor on that one, but history isn't a very good predictor of football games. I will enjoy your tears on Saturday night.
Here are a few more stats for you.
Utah's losses were to two top 10 ranked teams.
BYU's losses were to 1 top ranked team and 1 non ranked team.
Utah has won both times the teams have played when they were both ranked.
Max Hall's record against BCS teams,Utah and TCU is 7-7. The best team he beat was Utah at 9-4. The best BCS team he beat will be a 6-5 Oklahoma who will most likely end up 6-6.
Four of those 7 wins were by less than 3 points
Four of those 7 losses were by more than 14 points.
this season?
chirp*chirp*chirp
Oklahoma is a much bigger name team than anybody Utah has beaten in the past 5 years, except for Alabama (about equal)
besides the BCS bowls, there isn't a bigger stage in college football than playing the #3 ranked team in the Taj Mahal of football on national television against a team that played in the BCS championship game last season and had the returning Heisman Trophy winner
give me an example of just one OOC opponent that Utah has played and beaten in the regular season that compares to Oklahoma this season
sorry, Oregon State doesn't come close to the stature of an Oklahoma
and Michigan was pathetic last year
Oklahoma, even without Bradford, was still good enough to nearly beat Texas
...the number of wins each football team will have by Christmas
Wynn throwing to Reed on a deep post?
...while lying flat on his back after being planted by Clausen
hahahahahahahahah!!!
Logan may actually match up with Reed surprisingly well. There is not this huge speed disadvantage, and Logan has only had problems with really tall receivers like guys who are 6'3" or 6'4"
I think Logan runs with him fine. You can dog on him for being short, but not for being fast. That guy can really fly.
Brice McCain was VERY fast last year for the U and he still got handled on several occasions. It does not matter how fast the DB is who is covering Reed. Look at TCU. I bet their corners are faster than Logan and Reed still tore them apart. Reed knows how to make catches and run routes. Reminds me of Collie. Even if Clausen puts him flat on his back, Reed will still have the football and it's going to be in the end zone for another U touchdown.
HAhahahahaha!!!!
Stat this, stat that. Win against them, win against whoever. We win, you lose. All of it is meaningless dribble, worthless bovine excrement. They are all the mindless ramblings of local Talk Radio that is desperate for listeners and since few of them have actually played, coached and been entrenched in on the field play, they feel a need to quote stats.
A few examples of what it's like to play the game and not the stats, nor the critics: Pittsburgh Steeler last year vs this year. Oklahoma Sooners this year vs. last year. Alabama this year vs last year, and Ala. just barely beat Auburn. Colorado beat some ranked team this year. Wyoming beat Tennessee two years ago. Stanford beats USC. West beats Provo in the state championship final.
We could go on and on with stats as well as examples of upset wins as well as teams losing when they should win.
When the game itself is not enough, then it means someone is trying to earn money, someone is trying to push a personal or corporate agenda and someone is far too entrenched from the outside wanting desperately to be inside.
