You Can't Be Serious

Respect? Why show respect for another human being who's opinions and perspectives are different than yours? How un-American is that?

Just kidding.

Actually I'm very proud of how the President conducted himself while overseas last week.

Proud too

I was so proud of the way our President acted, so proud in fact, that I would be very happy to let him stay there as a permanent ambassador of peace. Can we do that?

i dont care

if Obama bowed or curtsied; its just a repectful gesture
however; I also think Obama is the worst president ever
apparently change means worse

Desert News Drivel

What was the point of the original letter this one is replying? What it to show someone ignorance or just partisan prejudice?

We learned in kindergarten that this is how some Asian cultures greet each other.

Now we have a President who respects other human beings and is respected around the world, and that is a bad thing?

Grateful that I have no comprehension of why and how a portion of our country can despise a well educated, respected, compassionate President who is doing his best in the middle of a national crisis that he did not make, but is working to clean up?

@Utah Dem --- move along.

@Letter writer: actually if Obama was giving the equivalent of a handshake then he wouldn't have been shaking hands as he was bowing.

Any idiot who's been to Japan knows that you don't do both at the same time. You do one or the other or both independently.

@Des news drivel: your comments are just that; drivel. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid.

Respect & Republicans

Two words that don't go together.

Charles

@R&R: see post by Utah Dem. Care to revise your statement?

Selective Respect

The Obamas didn't observe protocol when speaking with Queen Elizabeth, then they gave her an ipod with Obama's speeches on. She already had an ipod and it's rude to impose your personal tastes onto others.

@charles

really Charles and what exactly do your comments amount to? I will give you a hint it starts with a D. You are the most childish poster on these threads

What a change

From George Bush who massaged German Chancellor Merkel's shoulders.
Or when a microphone picked up President Bush swearing with a mouth full of food while talking to British Prime Minister Tony Blair at the G-8 Summit. Bush, who reportedly has been working on the finer points of diplomacy lately, said, "What they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this "crap", and it's over."

If Mr. Garner knew anything about Obama, he would realize why so many people are quick to assume that Obama is lowing himself before others. Obama is an appeaser. He says and does whatever will please the people he is speaking to - even if it means degrading our country and weakening our influence. Then he ignores everything he said and either does nothing or pleases the unions that he still thinks he is serving - instead of our country.

Too bad our president doesn't show more respect for the family and unborn babies.
