She ran a red light and there were no citations given??
I there is still time to give a citation but this young woman is in serious condition. Where is the compassion?
Rob, agreed. She does deserve one. But sometimes in situations like this. The serious injury to one's self and potential law suites are more than adequate punishment. At this point, a citation might be like a drop of water in the ocean. Pointless.
I'm a retired police officer. The girl is at fault and failed to yield the right of way according to the newspaper story.
The citation would raise money for the city and thats all. Some insurance agents want a citation issued but that is a private insurance company "policy" and has nothing to do with who is going to pay what.
The other thing to consider is were all parties wearing seat belts, talking on a cell phone?
She may have been at fault, but as of today she might not live. Let's pray for her friends and family who may lose that precious life today.
