Wow, I better go check the straightness of my license plate right now. Davis County isn't Mayberry any more.

Dude

RE: SLDrone:
No that was not the problem. He should have stayed in his vehicle. Also, should have done what the officer said.

What an idiot

If a cop is "pointing a gun" at me I'll do what he says!

The paramilitary style in community policing is at odds with the citizen. Long gone are the days of police officers that could communicate to resolve situation. The less leathal wepons allow for a much easier option than communication skills of old. Gone are the days of "Protect and Serve" it now Taze and control.

I didn't know someone could be pulled over for a crooked license plate but I would obey a Police Officer whether or not they had a gun pulled on me. He probably would have gotten off with a friendly warning. It bothers me that people can yell at Officers. I was taught to respect authority.

What time of day did this happen? I'll bet it was late and it was a DUI stop with the crooked plate an excuse to pull the suspect over and check him out. What ever, don't fight with the cops. They don't fight fair, they fight to win.

We are turning into a banana republic where Police are the unquestioned omnipotent authority and not civil servants. Unjustified taser incidents have become a disturbing and at times unnecessary lethal trend, even being used recently on unruly children (in their own home) that don't comply, as was the case a couple weeks ago in Arkansas where a 10 year old girl was tasered for not wanting to take a shower before bed and so the 'Civil Servant Gestapo'

Don't be an apparatchik with blind support and acceptance for anything a cop does as justified. Just like the Feds (in theory) they work for us and need to be held to a higher standard. If this case has merit the officers involved should be named blamed and fired.
