Everything is great at Scaddy's, but you *have* to try the Wayne Burger. Its big, so you might need to skip a meal or two, but holy cow is it worth it. Great, great burger.

Mmmmm....Love me some Scaddy's.

Best 'burger place' in SLC. (Yes, they sale burgers, but a bunch of other stuff too...like you mentioned the soup)

And I concur with Kevin...the Wayneburger is amazing.

But I'm a breakfast guy and the Swedish pancakes are my favorite thing there. Just awesome.

so disappointed

I was excited to try Scaddy's after seeing their menu online and their advertising near Costco. I've just left and was incredibly disappointed.

I went with a friend, and we ordered a burger combo with fries and a veggie salad. The burger's bun was soft but quickly fell apart leaving the burger in a mess. Even with the addition of guacamole and bacon, the flavor was lacking. Worse were the fries - limp greasy things served with bad-tasting fry sauce. The most disappointing item was the veggie salad. It was a plastic box of pale iceberg lettuce with a few strips of carrots and cherry tomatoes. The Italian dressing was terrible and the only choice other than Ranch.

In addition to the terrible food, the atmosphere was also unpleasant. There was a bright red wall under harsh florescent lighting, and the booths were arranged uncomfortably close together. Rather than real receptacles, we had to clear our table into a rubber-maid garbage can with a hole in the top that was too small to accommodate the salad box.

Zero stars.

Scaddy's is my new favorite lunch stop. The fact that it's a family-owned business shines through with the quality of the food and the friendly service. Their fries are some of the best I've ever had, and the burgers are fantastic. I've tried a wide variety of the items on the menu, and I've been impressed by all of them.
