Quit Meshing With This Wackho!

When oh when is this ridiculous trial ever going to end? I am fooling myself and the world to think that these defense attorneys are getting paid pitance wages defending this idiot I suppose. Sick animals are put to sleep every day, whats the difference?

How could any lawyer live with him/herself after defending such a jack!!!! Bring on capital punishment!!!

Rediculous!

Blah, blah, blah. It's absolutely amazing how much this freak continues to manipulate the legal system. So, certainly the court can ask the people to drop this ONE particular witness. Why start from almost scratch to replace a defense attorney when the "potential conflict" is only with one of what I would guess would be numerous potential witnesses the people will call. His former "wife" testifying against him will already be particularly harmful to his "defense." This freak needs to be dragged into court without any further delays, found guilty and locked away forever for the cowardly, manipulative crimes he committed against a defenseless 14 year old girl. Administrative segregation in a prison for the rest of his life will be too kind for this freak!

Stalling and Wasting of Taxpayers Monies....

There is a thing called due process... and he has his right to have a trial. Wouldn't you want that right?!
As for a lawyer... remember someone has to represent them!
Guilty are not he has a right to representation and a trial. Allow him the rights you would want allowed to yourself and who knows someday you may screw up also. Be careful what you say.

Literate

this is tangential, but the incredible dedication to passive voice in this article should not go unmentioned.

Justice

They are playing an important part in our justice system... Everyone accused of a crime (even sickos that I too would rather hang just from a tree & be done with it) has the right to defense in a fair trial. Really it is almost a noble public service...and probably not an easy job to do or to live with.

horrible

This has stink written all over it. These lawyers took as much money as they could then they tucked their tails between their legs a ran. What a cop out.

Lacee

"Conflict of interest"? Sounds more like another delaying tactic to postpone the trial(again), only this time the delaying tactics are coming from the defense attorneys instead of Mitchell.

re: Anonymous

Because if the process doesn't work for the lowest of the low, it won't work for the rest of us. Its designed to protect ALL citizens from government tyranny.

The State has to be held to the standard, otherwise tyranny and despotism rule.

Lacee

This is just another delaying tactic, only this one is coming from Mitchell's defense team instead of Mitchell.

how much of the tax payers money are we going to waste on a man that committed this kind of a crime on a young girl every day for 9 months. Competitent or not, put the man away and throw the keys.

How can this person live with him self

I am so sick just thinking a it

Ace

Anon @ 2:40 -- How could any citizen live with themselves when they so easily would dispatch with the Constitution whenever it's inconvenient.

We all look forward to the day this particular crook is locked away, but we shouldn't sacrifice our principles just to get there faster.

John

This has gone on way too long !
What's wrong with our justice system ?
What a waste of tax-payer money on this sicko !
He's faking it all. It's just an act.

Johnny

Does the term "billable hours" mean anything? This is just another way to keep the meter running and guess who picks up the bill.

Schocker

I can't believe a guy that sings at the drop of a judges hat would stoop to such delay tactics.

Duct-tape his dang mouth shut, let him watch the proceedings via short-circuit, and get on with kicking his behind.

Your days are numbered brian. I hear that even in prison they have their own version of justice for those who hurt innocent little girls. I hear they don't take mitigating circumstances into account and that no mercy is their motto. Good luck pal!

larry wells

i will be glad to terminate mr. mitchell at anytime you decide to quite screwing around with a waste of skin.

Did no one else read this!?!?

"which contains information that could be used for impeachment purposes,"

That was perhaps the most important line in this article and yet not one person has mentioned it yet. This is pretty interesting.
