Comments about ‘Real champions: Not a great season — but Real Salt Lake had great finish’

This was such a huge moment for Utah sports. I wonder how many people are completely oblivious to that.

I cried tonight. Seeing Andy Williams and Javier Morales fight. Seeing the name of my beautiful city coupled with the word championship. What a beautiful night. Thank you Real Salt Lake for bringing our first major league title in decades. Thank you!

I'm sorry, its great we won, but MLS isn't a major sport in America as it is worldwide. Lets keep it in perspective.

Congrats to RSL! What a lot of the media outlets are failing to mention is that RSL thoroughly outplayed LA in the second half of regulation and also in the overtime period. They deserved to win that game. They were the better team on the pitch tonight, no question. Very exciting game to watch. Hats off to RSL! Now, Utah Jazz, it's your turn!

Awesome! Who would have thought they would even make the playoffs in the final week with the perfect storm of upsets that was needed for RSL to make the playoffs, and now the CHAMPIONS! Greatest playoff run I have ever seen by such an underdog in any sport!

After 15 years, MLS has really grown. Packed seats for the MLS Cup was truly great tonight.

Congrats on a great win. Utah as a whole should be proud not just of a major championship, but of the team that brought it to them. You truly have a blue collar team that doesn't know how to quit. Next, RSL is set to take on the best teams from Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean for a chance to play for a true World Championship. Now Salt Lake has to represent the league and the nation, I hope you all will support them.

Salt Lake has a professional soccer team? I know my daughter lost her soccer game Saturday but we made up for it with orange slices and juice boxes. Now its all forgotten.

From Miami FL to Utah, enjoy it! I'm glad you defeated those LA fakers. This is really a story that you can make a movie about it. They played bad the whole season but finished the job. I always tell people, it's all about the ending!

This was an awesome game to watch. I was so proud of our team. They played their guts out and absolutley looked better than LA.

Glad to hear that RSL won the League, and that USA are throughout to Worlk Cup Qualfiers, and rated 14th in world. Maybe football is finally coming along over there.
