Why is a confirmation circle news? That is a private spiritual moment.
Detmer has shown himself to be a gentleman on and off the field and a great credit to BYU and the Church. It's great to know about his continued activities in the Church.
Why do you publish this trash. I am ashamed at the recent approach the Mormon Times has taken on thier articles. Time is certainly this for the DNEWS.
Thanks for the uplifting article. I appreciate the update on both of them. They were great athletes and it is wonderful to see their lives moving forward in even more meaningful ways. Good luck to both!
how could you find an article about this "trash". Some of us are interested in Detmer and the LDS church. You don't have to read every article.
NOONE
I have read enough of these comments to expect the hate and harshness, but people have gone overboard on this one.
Some people claim members have a persecution complex. Well, those people need to read these comments sections more. There are some people who will say the most rude and inconsiderate things possible.
I have come to realize that many of these people just enjoy being rude and spiteful. They try to phrase their comments in the way that will give the most offense.
Each time I read such comments I realize again it is time to end allowing anonymous comments and time to start having a sign in system. Some say the KSL system does not help, but that is because KSL does not screen its comments and because they allow direct responses.
If we kept the current DN comment system and just added sign in names to the system it would cut down some on those who are troling, and also make it clear who various commentors are.
Hey Anonymous, if you are going to spew hate, why not have the veracity to give us your name? Also, no one forces you to read the article, so if you hate this type of article don't read the Mormon Times.
I knew this guy as we played at the same time. I can tell you I wouldnt have ever guessed the outcome on his life. I am happy for him and his family.
