Comments about ‘Health care bill clears first Senate hurdle’

Now how will we pay for it. Insurance companies provide an honest service why should they be regulated like that. Hopefully some loophole will happen to keep this marxism from passing. Since most people are satisfied with there insurance companies anyway. People buy votes promising what is not theres to give from people who ask what is not theres to receive.

I am very disappointed in my 2 senators for voting against having a DEBATE about health care. (For those who don't understand how things work, that's what tonight's vote was about. Allowing the bill to be debated.) Shame on you senators. The status quo is not acceptable, and we should talk about how to fix it.

Its just an opening for discussion at this point.But this is very dangerous,the government is envolved in auto industry,banking industry,and now wants to be in charge of YOUR health!Cash for clunkers was a joke,the school system always asks for more Federal funding and the post office looses customers to fed ex and ups and money daily.Once you depend on someone else for your decesions your freedom is gone.

Harry Reid saved the taxpayer $150 million. He was willing to offer and spend up to $250 million to bribe senator Landrau from Louisiana but he was able to get her to accept just $100 million for her vote. Does anyone know how much he saved to get senators Nelson and Lincolns vote.

Be very careful what you wish for. Have any of you read the bill? It is a disaster waiting to happen. It does not address anything like tort reform or how it is going to be paid for. If you have insurance it is going to cost a lot more especially if you are in you twenties. Remember if you don't want it you will be taxed and face jail. Keep government out of our lives!!!!!!!

Why do free market conservatives like none other than Rush Limbaugh dream of owning cars made by socialist workers in these socialistic European countries? We have Ford and they have Porsche and Mercedes. Our trains can't arrive on time. In Germany you can set you watch by a train's arrival.

I never saw a government owned store in Europe. I can't say this about Utah. I was safer too. I could walk any street in large cities and I was safe. Do try this act of freedom in America.

That is all this vote signified. Increased taxes. Benefits aren't even supposed to being until the 5th year, which will be 2014, if it hasn't been overturned by then.

I have the right to take care of myself in whatever way I see fit. No, I don't use drugs but if foxicans really want a free market then drugs of all kinds, pharmacuticals and natural should be legal so people can take care of thier ailments and suffering.

Fine, for the good of society we have made it illegal to access most drugs without a doctors approval and because of that many people are denied their god given right to take care of themselves with medicine that is readily available in the "free market".

Unrversal healthcare only restores that right to the people.
