The Aggies Dominated the stats the first 2 Quarters, BSU first 2 TD were fluke. The refs made a Poor PI game changing call vs USU that should have been vs BSU.
Im not saying BSU shouldnt have won, just some perspective.
This BSU team would destroy the U and Y and match up nicely with TCU.
Aggies lost to it's two MWC teams by score of 35 to 17 in each game. USU is playing much better ball now. I am sure the MWC whiners will show up hear soon to disrespect BSU which is currently superior to any football school in Utah.
Aggies will make it to a bowl game next year!
At least he tried to win. That's something Guy never really triedd to do in these types of games.
boise is not a state.
you need to become a real university.
get a green football field.
then people might respect you.
Sorry to break the news to you, but Boise State really is not that good. Maybe when you guys change your football field from vomit blue to a regular field, then people might take you more seriously. We will see just how "superior" you guys are come 2011 - 2013 when you will be playing Utah. Unfortunately, two of those 3 games will be on your vomit blue football field. I'll try not to puke while watching those games.
I thought the Aggies were in the game until the end of the 2nd quarter. A few mistakes which led to big points for BSU, I think broke the Aggies spirit. They lost the momentum, but started to pick it up toward the end of the game. Overall I thought they did very well. It can only get better from here on out.
I can tell you first hand. It doesn't matter what color Boise State's field is. They are that good! I witnessed how they dominated my team, not once which may of been a fluke, but for the last two years. You folks that bash the Broncos for the color of their field are just showing your immaturity! It was an excellant marketing tool. Ask anyone across the country about the blue and they know BSU.
Well, here we go again, all the petty comments about everything except the game. A whine here, a whine there. No matter what, some fool has to diminish a really great Boise State team. They lost to TCU by one point last year in the Poinsettia Bowl and haven' been touched since. Boise would once again beat the Cougars and the Utes as easily as they dispatched the Aggies last night.
No matter what color the field, neither the Cougars or the Utes would fare any better the Utah State did last night.
Until we along the Wasatch Front grow up, mature into adults, enjoy another mid-major's success, and recognize that Boise owns Utah and BYU football, we'll never be honest with ourselves or be respected.
Boise won't get a BCS berth because of the greed in the bowl process. TCU will do what Boise and Utah have done and pluck apart some smug big time program, and still the system will not change.
What should be done? If Boise goes undeated and is invited to a third tier bowl, they should reject the invitation and boycot the system.
I love to read the DN and read all the junior high-ish comments. Stop reading the DN which is little more than a branch of the Daily Universe. Go to ESPN.com and read an objective news report where USU coach Gary Anderson, accustomed to being with class programs like Utah, said it best about Boise State - "They are very good."
That classy quote after getting routed wasn't even mentioned in the Salt Lake papers. The only reason I read the DN on line is to read all the negative comments from the BYU fans. It makes my day to read the jealous, petty and envious comments from people who should knw better.
Can't wait until next two seasons when the Utes and the Broncos get to rough up BYU again and again and again.
RE the "Blue" .. The BSU team is well coached, well fanned, disciplined, talented and has several exceptional players. They may not play award-winning football the full 60 minutes of every game, but they seem to come through bigtime in the end. Would they be better if their home field was green?
What an ignorant, adolescent comment! In med school I wasn't taught that "blue" made people ill ..
Looking at Boise State from here in So Cal. They are real and should be in a BCS bowl game. The only reason they might not make it is the fear by tv producers that Boise State would not be a known commodity. That fear is only eclipsed by the fear of coaches everywhere that they would be beaten in a nationally televised bowl game by Boise State.
They played better than expected against Boise.
They talked big against Utah. We all heard about the Aggie basketball program being the best in the state and the WAC being better than the MWC, but they came up short yet again.
It's tough when you have only one sport to hang your hat on and then lose at that too. Aggie ice cream is all they have left.
They have been squeeking by against poor teams the last few weeks, but they have a talented team.
They would beat Utah and BYU this year on the blue turf.
They would lose to TCU by 3 TDs on the blue turf and would lose to them by 5 TDs in Ft Worth.
Why do a handful of Boise fans insist on going onto other states' newspapers and dissing their programs? Even during Utah's 12-0 season last year when Utah defeated TCU and TCU turned around and beat Boise, all your fans did was trash the Utes. Never an acknowledgement of being beaten by the team that Utah beat.
Some of your Boise fans are obviously so jealous of the Utes' success that in pretty much every article that has appeared this year, there has been some BSU troll trying to get in a jab at the Utes (primarily), and BYU (occasionally).
Look, we know that you guys are dying to get into the MWC. However, I'm not sure that Boise brings all that much to the table. Besides a decent football team (in a very bad WAC conference), what else do you guys bring? Very average athletic programs, below-average research programs, etc. If the MWC can get an automatic bid without having to expand, then they will do it, and Boise will be shut out again.
And if your trying to win public sympathy, you'd be wise to stay out of other states' papers.
If you vomit blue you really should see a doctor.
Boise is just as real as TCU when it comes to football. I am guessing that the fans that are not giving BSU respect are the same fans that continually cry because their school gets no respect from the BCS conferences.
What goes around comes around.
So what color is the sky in that delusional world of yours? No way is BSu even close to TCU. But when you only play one decent team per year, what do you really have to compare your team with? Enjoy all those cupcakes on your schedule and we'll watch you play in the toilet bowl when the BcS snubs you for a MWC team yet again.
Not sure what stats that one guy was watching the stats after the 1st quarter almost the same for both teams. USU could not compete on both side of the lines. I think we all witnessed that crazy D with no D-line just linebackers and corners. I give credit to USU for fighting and trying but after the gave up the ball on the 9 they sort of gave up. BSU will make the BCS this year. BSU would smoke byU and U, and I would say it would be toss up against TCU.
One important result is that 18,777 watched the game. For the first time in five years, USU has averaged more than 15,000 fans per home game (a requirement for membership in the Football Bowl Subdivision). And they did it in a year when neither Utah nor BYU played in Logan to build up the numbers. In that respect, USU, congratulations in getting that monkey off your back. Now beat the real university in Idaho.
It was a fun game for the first quarter and a half. I cannot believe how fast the score changed. I appreciate our team playing to win, and we will get better. I was so proud of all those in attendance at the game. It was quite fun to see our beloved Logan broadcast all across the country and spoken highly of! Good job students and administration! I just can't believe they didn't sing our fight song. Oh well, tons of fun and look forward to taking it out on Idaho in Idaho! Glad to see Brindley back. Go Aggies!
In Utah we don't care about Boise.
We care about our Utah teams.
