Like I said, Timpview wins by four to five touchdowns.
Nice job winning the little league championship. Now if Timp could just find a way to beat a 5A team. Huge loss to Alta and close loss to PG....neither of which is a final 4 5A team.
You don't have to be an "Expert" to know that Timpview would win in dominating fashion. But kudos to you "The Expert", great job stating the obvious.

Seriously "expert", Timpview has more talent on that team than the Utes. Pick something that isn't 100% obvious next time and than come bragging.

You're gonna trash talk a high school football team? Really?
C'mon get a life.
Congratulations to Coach Wong and the Timpview players for a nice victory and another championship. You're a great team and you deserve to be champions.
And congratulations to Coach Mitchell, his coaching staff, and to the Springville Red Devils on a great season and a great run in the playoffs. It has been fun to watch the turn around and good to know the ship is traveling in the right direction. What has been accomplished in just 2 years is fantastic. I look forward to more of the same next season and beyond.
Enjoy it while it lasts. When I went to THS in the 80s we never got a sniff. Not sure we even ever had a winning record. We did have those cool padded collars and bandaid-colored arm pads.
Awesome to see the t-birds continue to crank out title after title.
That is for my doubting Thomases from Springville on another blog. Yes, I was probably stating the obvious for most of us prep football fan. I was still off I admit, I initally picked 49-13 or something like that. I did say that they would beat Springville by a similar margin that they would be SF but Springville had some doubters. Oh well, have fun bloggers!
You must mean the early 80s (really ancient)! We won a state championship in '87 and were semi's or finals in '86 and '88 if I remember correctly. I do remember the collars and arm pads -- Captains used to give a six-pack of orange crush to the visiting team - do they still do that?
Just glad coach Wong didn't go for all the overtures from Whittingham & co. to become an assistant Ute coach.
Prepfootballfan Alta made it to the final 4 in 5A
Congrats timpview. Asterisk after asterisk. Keep cranking them out
How many championships has Timpview won and what were the years?
I think the championship was '86. Where's the asterisk for previous wins?
Wow. What a player!!
Was at the game. It was hard fought. Kudos to SHS for playing hard and not backing down. Coach Mitchell has done a fine job. Congrats to Coach Wong and his staff for another title. Great game plan that was executed well. If not for bad bounces on the fumbles by THS the score would have been even higher. Too bad it got ugly in the 4th quarter when the game was already decided. Emotions were running high. THS defense did an awesome job and were the MVPs from my perspective.
You hit it right on the head.
I don't think us Springville folks are too proud of that either. But, TV had plenty of players acted in similar fashion. Neither team should be proud of how that game ended.
Championship game history:
1986, beat Bear River 14-8 (3A)
1991, beat Skyline 35-34 (2 OT) (4A)
1997, beat Olympus 19-13 (4A)
2004, beat Lone Peak 42-0 (4A)
2006, beat Highland 21-12 (4A)
2007, beat Pine View 50-7 (4A)
2008, beat Cottonwood 34-28 (4A)
2009, beat Springville 35-6 (4A) (I added that one to the list)
