They put on great shows, and with new material, this one should be particularly good.
TSO was originally pretty much a side-project of a band called Savatage, and most everyone that was part of Savatage is now a part of TSO. If you like TSO's style (including the hard parts), I highly recommend Savatage's album "Dead Winter Dead." It's a very powerful, emotional album. They also put out a lot of other great albums in the 1990s and early 2000s.
I'm glad TSO now comes to SLC every year. I once drove from Provo to Boise to see them play because they skipped Utah--but now that they've figured out how great the fans in Utah are, they keep coming back.
I went to a trans siberian orchestra concert on saturday at 8. at scottrade center. and it was better than ever. age 16. and is a very big fan of tso. and has been going for ten years.
