Hate anything that is sponsored by Democrats or is progress.
They do however support nuclear waste be dumped in the west desert.
We can spend $2,000,000. rebuilding swimming pools in
Irac and that's OK. Why? That's for national defense.
We can change "pork barrel" to "ear mark" and that's OK.
But do one thing to help the average person in this country and that's socialism!
Why do we even have senators from Utah? What good do they do?
tax cuts for the top 1% , war with Iraq, no bid contracts, hand out to wall street, trillion of dollars for friends of bush over 8 years - no problem for the part of NOPE as long as it benefits themselves - but trying to help americans live better and healthier lives not beholden to insurance companies, nope, you don't need that. The insurance companies and the GOP are the same thing - sucking this country to enrich themselves - there is a reason they don't want this bill to pass because it will affect their profits - who cares if americans are dying because they don't have any insurance ...real patriotric of the party of DOPE.
If the people who are receiving Medicare suddenly become eligible for health insurance at a price they can afford, why are the Republicans trying to scare them by saying their Medicare funding will go down? The 450 + billion being cut on Medicare is going to be differed to a healthcare plan intended to cover 94% of the insurable population. How is that not clear? $ gets taken from Medicare.......and put towards healthcare. Those on Medicare switch to a government subsidized healthcare plan, which Medicare already is!
They will gladly accept big businesses lobbyist money for sure and do not want too see it end. This is very commonly called "PAYOLA".
HATE ALL THINGS DEMOCRAT.
LOVE ALL THINGS REPUBLICON.
What else are these two jokers supposed to be or do?
This bill doesn't do anything about the cost of health care, and does very little about the problem of the uninsured. It is full of spending, including some pork (why should a health care bill pay off veterinarians student loans?) and we can't afford it. Nothing at all would be better. A single payer system would be better. Tort reform would be better. This is a piece of legislation that deserves to die. Storing nuclear waste in the west desert makes a lot more sense than this bill.
Maybe the two of yous Senator types could, ya know, meet Harry Reid in one of them back alleys and, you know, just ask him, "What the HELL is he trying to do?"
LOL, what a crock of elephant doo doo here, and I quote, "Utah's two GOP senators, not surprisingly, hate Senate Democrats' final health care proposal.
Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, attacked it in national media outlets, many of which quoted him saying the upcoming debate on it will "be a Glenn Beck perhaps holy war."
So the Ted Kennedy lover Sen. Orrin Hatch the real RINO is upset hey, and Bennett is also, and puts on a show, for the press, when they are both in with the Demo's, so deep, they need hip boots, to crawl out of that RINO pit of hogwash.
I thing, it's long overdue and time for Utah to wake up and smell their coffee, er..... "soda pop and energy drink's", and as a outsider that lives in the tropics, I think they should dump them both in 2010. I see thing's more clearly then them.
That's my true Conservative / GOP view's.
The problem with a lot of Demos is that they think stepping off a cliff is progress.
due diligence politicians...please. There should be a law if a bill costs over "X" amount of dollars, there should be a vote by the people, not politicians. I would bet my life there would be more people voting (for or against) a bill like this than a Presidential election.
Last night I watched PBS’s Frontline program “Sick Around the World” which detailed T.R. Reid’s comprehensive investigation of health care systems in other countries (China, Japan, Germany, among others). He is the author of “The Healing of America: A global Quest for Better, Cheaper and Fairer Health Care”. The program reinforced my wonder why we in this country are unable to learn from the experiences of others in order to create the best possible program. Instead our self-important legislators are very busy reinventing the wheel. And we, the people who call ourselves a democracy, are held hostage by the power of the mighty insurance lobby. The very intensity of their opposition to reform reveals how much they fear to lose if efficiencies were to prove them irrelevant.
Those in favor of this outrageous takeover of the healthcare system by the Federal Gov't must belong to the 50% of americans not paying any taxes or contirbuting in any meaningful way to society.
The gov't does run things some things well. Whether you want to admit it or not, it's just the truth. I trust the government to provide better health care than the FOR PROFIT insurance industry. Besides, we already have the worst case scenario right now. If you have an illness, you are in trouble here in the U.S. Her care is rationed and she can't go anywhere else with a pre-existing condition. It's not the doctors that decide what type of care she gets, its the insurance company and trust me, they have set many limits on what care the doctors provide.
There was an article just a few weeks ago in the NY Times that describe the conditions were people stood in line all night long to get to see doctors and dentists because they couldn't afford to go on their own. In a country as rich as ours, there were lines like you would see in third-world countries. So yes, you are that stupid if you think allowing health care to continue the way it is makes sense. It's past time we had health care reform.
HOLY WAR spewed by Hatch....is SO Mormon
Thanks to the Utah delegation for actually trying to IMPROVE healthcare, rather than just rubber-stamping the Demo. plan.
I wonder: how much longer will Demos. refer to Bush when talking about the FUTURE? Americans will be quite disappointed with the new government healthcare and will probably end up having to buy "supplemental insurance" anyway!
That is probably the reason the AARP is backing the new plan. They stand to make a LOT OF MONEY selling "supplemental insurance" when Obamacare fails to deliver!!
Don't believe for a minute that your healthcare issues could/would be solved just by taxing others to pay for YOUR healthcare!!
If you are in favor of this bill you must be among the 50% of americans not paying taxes or contributing in any meaningful way to society.
I agree with Hatch and Bennett that the Democrats' healthcare reform bill is terrible. We will all be so sorry if it passes because we will end up paying more than ever for healthcare. I would be happy to be counted as one of those Americans who Hatch hopes will rebel.
However, I don't see the Republicans offering a worthwhile plan either. Neither party has come up with a reasonable solution to our healthcare reform crisis. IMO we absolutely need reform, but this is not the kind of reform we need.
I think we need to start over and write a bill that puts people not money first and actually reduces costs (and holds them down) while eliminating fraud and administrative waste. Every layer of bureacracy adds waste and thus cost.

Bro Chuck is 100% right-on again.
To Senators Bennett and Hatch; you had eight years of the same control the Democrats have now, what did you do in eight years, what kind of health care plan did you come up with for the very taxpayers who pay for your insurance and your salary, which is much bigger than what most of us make. With your salary and all expenses paid by us, why do you need money from the insurance companies, big corporations, ect. When is enough, enough? Why do you expect President Oboma to clear up in eleven months the mess all of you made in eight years. Did you vote to go into afganistan? and if so, did you vote to leave and go into Iraq. Did you support the Bush administration for this mess? What lies hidden in your past? If the truth were known about the real, "American Government", I do believe the real, "American People", would go to the poles and vote you out of office and then sentence you for the fraud you have committed and the lives that have been lost in a useless war.
