Vampires vs Werewolves?

That's not even a contest! Werewolves kick vampires trash ANY day of the week. Think about it. Werewolves are big, huge monstrous animals with big jaws and even claws. What do vampires have? Fangs, that's it. . .

Plus werewolves are way more intimidating. If you're a regular person you at least have a fighting chance against a vampire? Against a werewolf? You are pretty much toast.

Vampires are creepy and can claim easy victims, that's one thing they have going for them. . .but pitting them in a slugfest fight with a werewolf? Come on, vampires don't even come close to matching up.

I just saw the movie. It was really good. I liked it better than the first one. Twlight fans won't be disapointed.

Vampires and werewolves are fun and all, but a single ninja could beat a pack or a herd or whatever of either of them.

Ela

I personal believe that this whole book and movie stuff is from the dark side.

Jen

I don't thing it is appropriate for an LDS member to take a roll as a vampire.

Spatans can beat ninjas. Ninjas can beat wolves and they can beat vamps

The natural order of things

Wolf Pack

Could someone please tell me why vampires, werewolf's and Mormons all have so much in common?

Shari

I don't believe glamorizing a forbidden love affair is appropriate for LDS members, especially teen girls. I would not allow my daughters to read the books or see the movie, and I tell them why, and we talk about it. The author is a disappointment as a member.

Eileen

Jen,
You'll be pleased to know that the Mormon actors are playing werewolves then. Better? Lighten up - its all fictional!

AZ

To: Wolf Pack that is a good question???? I don't know but I think the whole thing is stupid!!!!

Here come the airheads...

Who reads or watches this sort of junk? Must be the same dolts who read The National Enquirer. Honestly, I would be so embarrassed to be seen reading this sort of tripe or watching a movie of it. Seriously, don't you people have something better to do? Get a life.

The book is not from the dark side, it is a "Fiction" book with lots of good points such as waiting until you are married for sexual relations, it is a battle between good and evil, which everyone experiences, and it has a great sense of family loyality. I'm 50 years old and loved the books and the first movie, and can't wait until tonight to see the 2nd one. Why would it matter if an LDS actor took on a roll as a vampire, although the LDS actors are the werewolfs in this particular case

Shari is stuck on the word

forbidden, which only makes it more interesting to the teens. The good thing is that they don't have premarital sex, so I'm for that. Romance that is age appropriate, and considerate of each other, far outways some fantasy label of forbidden for me. It was a good read for all my LDS girls and their friends, although it doesn't beat out Harry Potter.

Poor Shari

So, according to you Mormon author's can only write about people who go to church and do what??? And who allowed you to pronounce sentence on Stephanie Meyer?

How about if I said your judgmental comment makes you a disappointment as a member.

Go wolves!

@ Shari

There is no love "affair". Nothing happens between the two of them until after they are married. But that is besides the point. The book is a work of fiction and I'm sure Stephanie Meyer is still true to her faith. Are you going to say that all the members who live in Las Vegas and happen to work at casinos are a dissapointment to their faith too? Lighten up a bit people. It is just a book people.

I let my kids see and read the books. It's just vampires, wolves, and a little teen love. It doesn't ruin my kids values, I raised them better then that. It's simply entertainment, my kids easily distinguish this from the real truth in the book of Mormon and it's teachings.. Harmless for them, they really like the books. I feel like us mormons outside Utah see things much differently.

Airheads???

You people gotta be kidding! The books are fine, and so are the movies, gotta love ignorant church members chastizing people for reading the books or watching the movies. I bet you've never been out of the state, read anything but the new era or ensign, and the radio never kjzz. Please grow up and view this for what it is...entertainment.

We go to church, my kids have friends, and have a's and b's in school. They've read the books, watched the first movie and guess what, they still haven't grown horns yet. Talk about getting a life.

TO SHARI

If you were to sit down and read Twilight and the succeeding books you would find a very well written story based entirely on gospel principles.

Funny, but I have never viewed the relationship between the two main characters as a "forbidden" love affair - no more than any other couple from two different backgrounds falling in love.

It is my opinion that the books speak to gospel based sexual morals, eternal relationships, self mastery and the choices of living through each individuals personal trials with integrity. Yes, there is plenty of teenage angst to go around, but it's a story about teenagers!

Stephanie Meyers talent is God given and she has used it in a way that many can enjoy, both member and non-member. Even she is surprised that the story has vampires in it, as she has gone on record saying she never read that genre before. But this is not the usual vamprire story, it's more along the line of a great science fiction/fantasy read, not unlike Harry Potter.

Twilight Lover

The ones that are putting down the Twilight Books are probably the ones that are buying the Sarah Palin book. Yeah, that's a lot better.
