I'm sure I will like the movie now that I see that Jeff Vice didn't like it. I never agree with him.

I guess you really didn't like the movie. Sorry you had to endure it.

jas

certainly, you're opinion is something you're entitled to. I understand that it is difficult for some to appreciate the "angst" that the main characters are going through and would rather watch a mud wrestling match but some of us would not accept a more light and happy first half of the movie. The fact that you think Rob Pattinson is a bad actor is proof that you don't know this story or the characters. Nobody could have brought Edward to life better than Rob and I can't imaging a better Bella than Kristen, well - the casting is perfection. So, your uninformed opinion will mean something to uninformed readers but not to those of us who know the characters and stories and will accept nothing less that what we are given in New Moon.

Doesn't take a movie critic to tell me this movie is going to be "sub-par".
However, considering the target audience, it will probably do well at the box office like the first one.

Drug use? Are you kidding? Now I want to see it just because of that - I don't remember where there was drug use anywhere in the book.

Oh, no you dint!

Dude, you have really stuck your head into a hornet's nest this time! LOL

There will be no forgiveness for you; Twilight fans will haunt you for the rest of your career.

I almost always agree with Jeff Vice. 2 stars isn't terrible it means the movie is just okay. Just because you are in love with the books doesn't mean the movie is something it is not.

Oh! Finally someone who seems through the hype. I devoured the books. Twilight is number one on my list for the worst movie I've ever seen. They got nothing right! The casting, the acting, the hair, the make up. It was all horendous. I have no desire to see New Moon and I'm really sick of hearing about it. As for Pattinson, he ruined Edward. That wooden, silly homely man could not pull off the funny, sweet, sexy Edward of the book. If I was Stephanie Meyer I'd want to crawl in a hole and cry over what they did to her amazing books.

These junk is for airheads...

This stuff is the typical schlock that only die hard airheads could really enjoy. In a world that has some truly classic literature and entertainment, these trailer-park morons choose to watch and read this kind of junk. Pathetic...

Books?

They made books out of these lame movies?

My Opinion

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Having read the first book and seen the first movie, here is mine:

The book is terrible. I have never felt pain in my eyes before while reading a book simply due to the content, the characters and the overall theme.

The movie was a stinky little slice of vampire cinema. The two lead characters seemed to sleep through their performances. At no point did I care what happened to Bella or Edward, I just wanted to leave. Lucky for me, I saw it at the dollar theater.

The only thing more depressing and gray than these movies is the fact that there are still two more to go.

notabigtwilightfan

but this guys comments are dumb... seriously whats the ladies religion got to do with any of it ??? if she was jewish would it change your opinion ??? this twilight thing is just like the harry potter and lord of the ring deal it will pass get over it

Sweatin' Willy!

Jeff Vice is right on topic here! The movie bores me to sleep!

I wish someone would see it for what it really is. As a counselor it actually quite frightens me to see the mass hysteria from teenage girls and older women alike. I hear middle age women having a countdown to opening night all twitter pated to see the "romance". Call it like it is, a biography of Roman Polanski.... Old creepy guy and his sexual escapades with a dumb young girl. Why is this something we want to glorify. The worst part is, we already have boys wearing girls pants, now they will just be more morose and gaunt looking, and all the girls will be chasing vampire looking boys, Yeah for us.

Oh lay off and stop getting all worked up about people who like this stuff. There is a lot of other garbage that people could be reading out there and these books happen to get people off the internet and into the pages of something interesting. The best thing that books like Harry Potter and Twilight have done is get people to put their noses back in books. In a culture that suffers from the lack of education and in many states the lack of ability to read, I'm pro books like this one. So what if you don't like it, let everyone else enjoy it and leave them alone. The movies may not be the best blockbuster ever, but I'll be taking my wife to the movie because she loves it.

I have found that I often disagree with entertainment critics so don't pay much attention to them anymore.

I'm a senior Twilight fan who remembers what it's like to be 18. I'm way excited about going to this movie tomorrow!

To each his/her own.

Anne

I rented the first movie and actually found myself laughing out loud at the actors attempts to be intense. I just don't get the whole Twilight craze.

In regards to teri88's coments, AMEN!!!! I loved the books. I have them all. In fact I am reading them again right now because I don't think I can stand to see this movie. The last one was so NOT Twilight. Maybe someday they can be remade with better casting (in the Edward part) and at least try to follow the story line of the book.

Yup

Jeff, you're a pessimist. :D

Books are Better

It is hard for me to like the movies...because the books will always be better. I will go to see it...but just to see if they did any better this time. If you have not read the books..and like the movie..you are missing out because the book was 1000 times better than the movie Twilight. We need to READ more!!
