Jason's easily confused, so I would expect this.
They should not blame Utah for giving the wrong information.
Maybe they need another Government agency to oversee this too.

AIRPORTS

are mind boggling to Jason --- he seems to have a lot of mind boggling incidents.
So, it seems to me if the money was sent to a non existing congressional district, it couldn't have been spent because there wasn't anyone to spend it... SO it should be an easy task to pull it back.
Wouldn't it be a hoot and mind boggling if it was spent in Jason's district and they had to pay it back because of the mistake?? Karma!!!!

Digbads

Jason for Senator!

Code names

Maybe the phantom districts are just code names for "friends of Barry." I am not reassured at all that this stimulus program is on the up and up.

rnoble

i am very concerned---28 agancies oversee the money but devaney can't visit them regularly enough to maintain a list of recipients?---even one a day would mean only a little over a month and in the time available multiple visits could have and should have been made---who is going to check if the list is correct and complete?---who is going to check if those on the list exist and are really eligible?---who is checking that the amounts reported are even correct?---

Jason

If it were up to his vote the recession would be a depression.

excuses

Excuses, excuses. Thats all you ever see with government run anything. Misused taxpayer money, thievery, etc... Excuses!

huh?

Obama prints a faulty report and it reflect poorly on Jason Chaffetz because he noticed?

Talk about haters.
Some posters here prove what is wrong with the Obamettes.

This is why the money should have been distributed to tax paying citizens. Not given to those who refuse to work and contribute to society or work here illegally. Then the real workers and contributers to society could "stimulate" the economy or at least get some of the money back that they're going to be taxed on.

At least Obama and his wife are okay flying around on air force one shopping in distant and foreign shops. I would be sick to the stomach to know that our royalty wasn't being treated so well.

And the government is going to run health care efficently?

Utah is cheating the federal government? Wow!

I like the way the uneducated read and interpret the information. Maybe those in Utah that are responsible for their reporting need to be more accurate. Sounds logical to me. I really rail against fear and hate mongering.

ACCURACY

WHO CARES ABOUT ACCURACY...ITS ALL PART OF SPECIAL EFFECTS.....MISLEAD OBUMMER....MISLEAD US INTO BANKRUPTCY, YOURE DOING A BANG UP JOB.....HOW MANY SAVED JOBS DID YOU REPORT THIS WEEK? AND CAN WE HAVE THE NUMBERS OF SAVED JOBS FROM THE BUSH, CLINTON, BUSH2, REAGAN ADMINISTRATIONS?

WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CREATED THE STATISTIC?

YOU MEAN NO ONE ELSE EVER HAS REPORTED A SAVED JOB?...THEN WHAT IN HEAVENS NAME ARE THEY GOOD FOR?

HOW ABOUT REPORTIING HOW MUCH MONEY

WIllie

The Obama spin doctors are low camp humor. Mr. Devaney, this is real money, not a Monopoly game and you are not on Saturday Night Live (yet).

Himself

Hello fellow Utahns. I'm Congressman Himself from the
OOth district. I want to thank all of you for attending my first Comments Town Hall meeting. A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO ACCURACY! Now I'll open the floor to all your questions. But first remember, Utah is made of many people with many different and strong views which are often called special interests groups.
I ask, what is a special interest group?
I'll tell you. It's everybody but me.
Thank you, and God bless Utah.

Will someone convince me that the non-exixtence congressional districts are not a scam to get government money. Go follow the money and we will all know. . .Where is Utahs Woodwood and Bernstein?

So then

is Utah to blame for all the other states misrepresentation of district's or maybe it's the guys in D.C. that are entering the numbers that screwed up. If it were just Utah's numbers being fouled up then I can see blaming Utahans but when it's a problem nationwide then maybe you need to look somewhere else!!!

cesqy

More than half of Utahns don't know what district they vote in anyway. Who among us is surprised that Utah's anti-bailout stimulus recipients would put down any district number and then want the fat fed bureacrats to fix it. Let's obfuscate the facts to protect the incumbent hypocrites who got the money.

CIndy

cesqy - when I first saw the reports, I thought as you did...it was people mistaking their HOUSE district for their Congressional district. However, Stimulus money went to North Dakota's "99th" Congressional District - and they don't have 99 seats in their state House of Representatives so that blows that whole theory out of the water....

Not to mention the 35 Congressional Districts for Washington DC.....

cesqy

CIndy-why would any stimulus recipient trying to hide(obfuscate)their use of bailout funds put down a real district number?? Utahns voted against the stimulus with one hand and took it with the other. Utah will never opt out of the proposed govt health care option either...even though most will complain and whine about it. Medicaid where states can opt out is a good example of not turning down "free" money.
