I guess the main purpose of this article is to provide ammo for those who hate soccer?
I wish RSL all the luck in the MLS CUP Final!

todd from santa ana

Next year between the 4 games REAL comes in to play CHivas and The Galaxy I would like to go a couple and meet many of you great fans if you could come down like STeve O (Jazz follower), Chadders and one my inspirations who was responsible for me becoming a little more positive "Fedor"

Our REAL family even though we may be in different spots SUnday are all "together" as we watch our heroes become MLS CUP HOLDERS and we will celebrate jointly as "one"

Even if they lose, it will not take away from the season and the way it went down, I will be proud of all either way, but SUnday Night REAL FANS If you all believe we can change "history" and start a new chapter away from the "establishment"

Bless you all and peace

Jazz?

Who are these guys? They play basketball? In Salt Lake? Hey that's where I live. Hmmm. Welp, I hope they win.

Go Beckerman, Johnson, Williams, Mathis, Espindola, Yura, Olave, Borch, Russel, Grav, Wingert, Javi, Beltran, Findley, and Rimando!!!

nitz

yeah you are right "Jazz?" who are these guys? Does Utah have a basketball team? I live in utah and never heard of a basketball team here. Well i guess if they do have a basketball team here they should get better at it because all i hear is Lakers and Celtics...anyway... Wish all the luck for Real Salt Lake on sunday, ill be in seattle on sunday cheering RSL.

Welcome to America...

Where nobody cares about soccer except soccer team employees.

Go RSL

Go Salt Lake Reals! Bring the title home!

I was born in AMERICA!!

Read the article. If you would have read it you would have known that Jerry Sloan, Andrei Kirilenko, and Mehmet Okur are all huge fans of soccer.. I know it's crazy that stubborn jerry sloan would be a fan of the beautiful game...

This is not an article to fuel anyone's fire.. It simply states that there are many soccer fans in the United States, most of them are fans of the epl and not MLS..

Kirilenko said he only knows one name in MLS and that's beckham, but he could name the top 10 teams in the English Premier League..

Sloan also a fan of the English premier league!!!

Good luck RSL

Cam

What a dumb and pointless article. What is the point?

Welcome To America...

Soccer is here, and staying for good. Its now an american sport, and is growing rapidly no matter what anyone thinks, so keep popping your mouths and looking foolish because you know as well as I do that soccer is now a legit american sport.

Funny

No suprise that these "Euro boys" don't follow the American soccer landscape. Euros still don't give the US much credit for our talent, although they are starting to.

That would be like asking me about the European Basketball league. Why would I give two craps about that?

Go Real!

Sound like it's pretty even. I'm a Jazz fan and can't name their starting 5, yet I can name every player on the RSL roster! Soccer is so much more exciting than the so-called "American" sports. Proud to be RSL through and through.

GO RSL! Beat the Gals!

Chadders

I'm mildly suprised they didn't know RSL is in the finals. I guess when you make more in a game (AK) then every player on RSL you probably wouldn't care. It isn't that suprising that during the NBA season the players don't know what is going on. I wouldn't be suprised if Okur does try and make it to Seattle Sunday night. That would kinda ruin this article.

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to prove that the Utah Jazz do not read the Des News.

Long ways

The fact that a Jazz beat writer, in the early stages of the NBA season where there's plenty to write about regarding the Jazz, is asking the Jazz questions about the local MLS team shows just how far soccer has come.

The haters can hate (and they probably will no matter what), but soccer in Utah is just getting bigger and bigger with every tick of the clock.

Kevin

Go RSL! Bring home the cup! HUGE Jazz fan but why not give the other pro sports team some love!

Fesenko?

I honestly have no idea who this guy is. But one thing is certain, he's not well-informed when it comes to soccer. The simple fact is that soccer in the US is every bit as good as soccer in most European countries. Yes, leagues in England, Spain, Germany and Italy are clearly superior. But MLS compares favorably to the other leagues. In fact, if you exclude Celtic and Rangers, MLS teams actually outdraw the rest of the Scottish premier league. FIFA says our US national team is #11 in the world. The world! Of course, soccer has a long way to go in the US. But it's already firmly established and steadily growing.

KC

Hey Fesenko!

FIFA says the US is #11. The Ukraine? #22. To quote Seinfeld, "The Ukraine is week. It's feeble."

:-)

Good Luck From NC

I just visited the site to see how RSL fans are reacting to the upcoming final.

You should all be excited. Many soccer fans across the nation, myself included, think that you have every chance of winning the cup.

Congratulations on earning the Eastern title. Also, thank you for building one of the best soccer stadiums in the league. It has already helped to build the league into a better product.

Good luck from North Carolina!

RE: Hey Fesenko

And I beleive they just lost in thier play in game... Now they can sit home and watch how good we are.... In South Africa 2010!!!!
