Keep this up Jazz, tomorrow could be a great momentum boost, and the Jazz proved they can play with and dominate the Spurs.
By the way, who would have thought that according to ESPN's Player Efficiency Ratings as of this afternoon Kosta Koufos was the highest in the NBA, at 37. Pretty interesting, especially considering Lebron, kobe, wade etc float around 28.
with how Maynor and Matthews are playing, CJ and Korver are going to be hard pressed to find playing time.
Good game. I cannot stand the Jazz allowing 3 point shots go up unopposed. Dwil is so late to get over. Luckily, Toronto could not hit a pea in the ocean tonight. That SLoan philosophy I have to hold my breath and pray every game that these shots are missed. Outside of this, when not focus, the Jazz were pretty active defensively tonight and Boozer I though played pretty well. Bosh is Hard to stop but in the 2nd half he did little.
The story for me tonight is how well Maynor and DWIL looked together,.They complimented each other and played great together. This was good because Matthews was quiet although took just 5 shots. We have to say Wes was in the game when we got off to a great start. There is outstanding camradrie already between the 2, and DWIL looked a lot more relaxed like he did not have to force the offense to execute.
Maynor I think is better at off guard, but hey only 2 turnovers and he can create his own shot and always looked relaxed, that is important.
Good job, now lets see if that long 10 year drought ends SPur Land
That is the point where are CJ and Korver going to get time> Even in adult leagues it is a reach to play 9. This is why we need to make couple of trades throw in 2 or 3 gys for a big man somewhere who can play defense because that is the biggest need. Korver you know is going to play
MILES: I GUESS CJ IS IN "your mind" Overlooked again....
O well. win is win. With Fesenko Jazz much better defensive team. When Fes on floor Bosh and Toronto only jump shoot. Millsap comes in Bosh exploded 16 point. In San Antonio Fes will play big time. Maynor looking better and better.
Never forget Koufos. He needs playing time too. We will be a much better defensive team and inside we will be stronger. The kid has skills. Let him use them.
...is the #1 most boring sport in the world bar none and the Jazz are the most boring team from the most boring city in the most boring state.
Dream on my friend. San Antonio is terrible and gave Dallas all they wanted at Dallas. This league is pathetic. Take a look at the Cleveland at Washington, D.C. game last night. The Jazz will lose at Spurs, no doubt about it.
20 and 18 for the Booze, and not for the first time.
How bout a bit of love for Carlos there?
He definitely needs to improve his defence but 20/10 PF's dont come along that often. How many have the Jazz had?
Memo misses more games year in and year out and he gets a free pass why? Guess us Jazz fans need to find someone to throw under the bus, makes us happy!
Fez has developed into a pretty good defensive force. He was definitely affecting Bosh last night. I'd like to see Fez in there more. How about Maynor and Matthews. I love these guys. Great future.
It seems the Jazz need to trade either Memo of Millsap and resign Boozer. Boozer is dominant especially if paired with Fes. Millsap is pretty much a no show and so is Okur. And what did O Connor do? Signed them both to an extension.
Trade Memo Millsap Korver and Harpring for a Great wing and a good back up big man.
I feel like we will be a much better team next year and beyond. Brewer just is not a starter in this league and it will prove out the balance of this season, he flat out can not shoot the ball, and his defense isn't as good as some think. A.K. is so soft around the basket, he acts afraid of contact and some of his wild passes are horrible, certainly not worth 16mil. Boozer will be let walk and it won't hurt this team one bit next year. And last but not least- D-Will is stinking up the joint because he is forcing play and not letting the game come to him! Relax Deron and just play the game, don't force passes and shots, take what the other team gives you like Maynor has the past few games. I however really like our future and with a lottery pick or two we should be a REAL team next year.
Apparently you've never heard of baseball, hockey, soccer, the Clippers, the Timberwolves, any city in Iowa, Idaho, New Mexico or Wyoming?
Um, in five full seasons, Memo has missed a total of 22 games - about four a year. How is that a free pass?
Another nice win,AK was great,Matthews played within the system, didn`t force anything and Fes got some quality minutes...and quess what....WE WON AGAIN WITHOUT miles!!!! don`t need him, never did!!!!
Great game,AK keeps playing like this,we`ll be hard to beat,Boozer haters have all but disappeared, can we package Harprings contract and CJ Miles together for a lanky big,a Mikki Moore type? Sloan is doing a good job of mixing it up,Fes is getting minutes,Go Jazz
@Jazzman98: That is the very reason that all the stats thrown around on here are, well, USELESS.
@Todd: There will be plenty of playing time for CJ. Matthews did what last night?
@Todd: How did Fes and Koufus do last night? Memo was out and it was YOUR boys time to shine. How did that work out?
The Story of the Game.
The reason the Jazz won this game was AK and Millsap defensive in the beginning of the forth. The Jazz had a 1 point lead.
AK forced Belinelli into an un-makeable shot (a perfect defensive play), AK steals the ball from Belineli, AK then stole the ball Turk on his driving layup. When AK was picked off Turk Millsap forced him into a travel, and Millsap had one perfect defensive play against Bosh for a missed shot. During that time the Jazz build a 10 point lead.
Boozer even got into the action one good defensive play.
The truth is the Jazz cannot win when Boozer and Millsap are in the game together. It does not work. It never has and it Never will. over 5 season Boozer and Okur when they play on the court at the same time, the Jazz are at their worst. This season in the 190 minutes where both are on the court, the Jazz have been outscored by 37 points.
Boozer needs to play with a defensive center and not Okur.
