Go Springville!

Time for the underdog to win this one.

Scott

Timpview has the best team in the state. They will destroy Springville, hands down.

High School FBall Fan

Go Springville it's time for a clean program to win!

Timp....

may very well be the best 4A team in the state, but lets not forget how they did with their 5A competition this year including an enormous beat down loss at the hands of a little school called Alta and another one to PG, Neither of these teams is even in the 5A final. 4A has a very long way to go to convince me of anything.

Re scott

TV might be the best 4A team in state...but they have proven this year through losses that they are not the best team in State.

Judge

Be interesting to see if S-Ville can give Timpview a game. JD beat Springville this year. Shows the diff is pretty slight between top team in 3A and 4A. 5A not so much with size and depth advantages.

WELL

JD beats Springville badly. 24-6 or around that. JD loses to Highland Idaho 25-3? 28-3? AND Timpview beats Highland Idaho by 6-8 points... It's good football doesn't work this way or it would look very bad for springville... 55-17 Timpview

@Timp...
Timpview did stuggle early on but they came into their own. They outplayed Pleasant Grove except for a few dropped TD passes...they moved it down the field and should have scored. That was without a QB yet. The Alta game was the week after they lost Kafussi and they were trying to make adjustments after losing their best player. I think that if Timpview were to play either of those teams right now, they'd come out with a win. I don't know if they could beat Bingham though. They look really good this year.

The Expert

Bingham vs. Davis: Davis is much improved. I see this being a close game until the fourth quarter until Bingham breaks it open with two scores. The Miners have too much overall talent and more size up front, they manhandled Alta all game long. Bingham 24 Davis 7.

Springville vs. Timpview: Springville and Spanish Fork are very similar teams in quality. Springville beat the Dons by a touchdown late in the season but the game could go either way. Why bring this up? Well, Timpview beat Spanish Fork already in the playoffs and this game should be pretty similar, a sound Timpview victory over and overwhelmed opponent. Timpview 49 Springville 14.

Hurrican vs. Juan Diego: This is likely to be the best game of the championship games. Don't expect a blowout but a tough, hard hitting and dramatic contest where the Soaring Eagle survive the Tigers. Juan Diego 21 Hurricane 20.

cant compare

springville has been a totally different team since the JD game, they are twice the team that they were then. you cant determine the outcome of this game by comparing what these teams have done against different opponents. that said I'm looking for a good game this friday!

Go Red Devils

springville

talk around town is that Springville is they feel very confident matching up with the Timpview DBs. They feel that is Timpview's weak link and it will be EXPOSED.

The Expert

Springville played Spanish Fork after the Juan Diego game, not before. It was one of the last games of the season. Both teams played at a high level. Springville won the game at the end. Spanish Fork probably had more total yards offense but won the game due to earning timely turnovers (a fumble late in the game and an interception that set up the last touchdown) and a kick-off return to start the second half.

Both Springville and SF are quality teams. But in reality that game, again played after Juan Diego, could have gone either way. If Spanish Fork wins that game they get on the easier side of the bracket and are in the 4-A state championship game in all probability.

Losing to Timpview by 30 points is not that shameful, lots of teams do it and most teams do worse. But that's what the result will be. The second to best team clearly in 4-A is Mountain Crest and they lost by 17. Again I expect Timpview to win by 4-5 touchdowns. Plus it isn't Timpview's first trip to this picnic so even more advantage to the T-birds.

RE The Expert

You obviously have not followed Bingham this year self proclaimed "Expert". Davis will not hold Bingham to just 24 points, they only scored less than 28 once this year at Trinity. I doubt Davis has a defense better than, Alta, Trinity, Viewmont, A.F. etc. So in my "Expert" opinion.
Bingham 38 Davis 10.

Re The Expert

oops, I forgot to comment on the most important part of your "Expert" opinion on being close until the fourth quarter, You predict the final score to be 24-7, So, you really think that the score is going to be 10-7 in the fourth quarter of this game? Wow, you really are not an expert on Bingham.

Timpview's Secondary

SF a "passing team" only scored 22(14) points on timpview.

MC a "passing team only scored 21 points on timpview.

I expect that springville might come up with numbers close to these. Maybe.

RE: springville

All the talk around town will not change the facts. Kuresa is a much better QB then Springville is bringing. MC has more passing yards and touchdowns then Springville is bringing. MC could not do it and I don't think Springville can either. Still Springville is where they are because they are a good team are well coached. Hopefully it is a good game.

RE: RE: THE EXPERT

So question for you, why is Davis in the State Championship and Viemont and A.F aren't? I would say Davis has a better defense than both of those schools. Believe me, I think Davis will have a very tough time beating Bingham, but just confused on the Viemont and A.F. teams being better. Two reasons Davis is there: Tanner Hinds and the Defense.

I am reading alot of reasons as to why Springville will be beating Timpview.

They may be valid, or maybe not. We'll know this Friday.

Nonetheless, Springville had best bring their A++ game along with a huge dose of luck for TV to fall at their hands.

Timpview, on the other hand, best not downplay the importance of this game and overlook the Devils or it could look alot like BYU playing New Mexico last Saturday!

Springville does not have experience at this level and will have to play HUGE to have any hope of pulling off this victory. Rice-Eccles is like home to Timpview and they feel very comfortable and up playing for the state title.

Many kudos to Springville coaches and Players for getting to this dance.

hold on

re re re The Expert.
Just listing their opponents, as you see I put an etc. in there as well, didn't say anything about Davis not deserving to be in the championship game. But if you are going to list yourself as an Expert then be ready to back up what you claim. I am confused on why you think the Davis defense can hold the Miners to 24 points. As I stated, only one time has Bingham been held under 28. But if you want to bring up Viewmont, didn't Davis lose to Viewmont 24-21? Bingham crushed them 28-8, and Viewmont only scored because they had a pick 6. So no to me it doesn't look like Davis is better than Viewmont because they lost to them right?

Davis, Springville, and Hurricane.

I hope you guys win.
