What else would you expect from Barberi? I learned many years ago not to listen or read his left wing dribble. I'd urge you to follow suit to avoid the heartburn and angst he causes.

OH Yeah?

At best they are divisive anti-Amercan obstructionist sore-losers who feed off other sore-losers. But Tom was right on with everything else as well.

Shock jock journalism is how I heard it referred a few years back. And yes, Barberi engages in it as well. His only problem is that for what ever reason liberals don't listen to talk radio. If they did he would have been as big as Limbaugh, he is certainly as bombastic as Limbaugh.

Pot calling the kettle...

The right can make outlandish assertions and accusations, but when the left responds, the right gets offended. Barberi had this one spot on.

I don't mind that the paper published buddy's remarks about the substance abuse problems of these 'hosts'. Talk radio is often hypocritical, and this makes the point nicely.

Truth hurts

seriously

seriously we are going down this same old path again? Evidence has been provided of the lies told by pundits on both sides numerous times on these threads over the last week and if the letter writer has not seen them then it can only be chalked up to selective reading on their part at this point. As to the childish remarks have you bothered watching any of these people they all circle to the lowest common denominator, my suggestion turn them all off and find other sources for your news. I can only assume that the continued obsession with this subject is due to both the letter writer and Barberi’s inability to move beyond the childish rhetoric of “I know you are but what am I.”

Digbads

Tom Barberi has said more hateful and incendiary statements than any radio host I've ever heard. He's a horrible mormon basher and so pro "booze." As someone who has had to clean up the pieces of lives broken from alcoholism, I can tell you that he is a champion of "rottenness."

More reasons to listen to NPR where people act with civility.

Barberi rocks

Tom has been a reasoned voice for reasoned people.
With all of the fairy tale politics going on forever in this strange land, it was always good to know that this guy was around.

If you want right wing fairy tales, stay with cry baby Beck, and you can still hear about Clinton killing people, and the good humor Eagle Forum nuts that are taking America down, one lie after another.

The Voice of Reason!!!

Keep it up Tom! Somebody has to.

If everyone is complaining about him then he must be telling the truth.

Its fun to recycle the reichs arguments.

@8:52

Oh yeah. Barberi SAYS he’s the voice of reason. Therefore all the pea-brained liberals must believe his every word.

Barberi wrote that article specifically to provoke the vast majority of intelligent people in Utah. It is his desperate attempt to sucker people into calling his show and increase his otherwise negligible ratings. Don’t fall for it. Let the little yappy dog cater to his miniscule numbers of willfully blind admirers.

Voice of juvenile reason

Barberi is an overgrown child, and for decades stuck in a stage of perpetual adolescence. He lost his show and audience share as he became more and more bitter and shrill in his screeds against Mormons, Republicans and native Utahns (except Democrats). He is a failed radio host, irrelevant to most people in Utah and pops up occasionally to cry and berate others more successful than he. Barberi has been and continues to be a prime example of liberal anger, bitter that the majority of people do not see the world as he and other enlightened glitterati do.

Did one of your secualar humanists friends tell you to write that?

Lew Jeppson

Barberi is right for the most part. The problem with a guy like Hannity is his bias. You tune in to Hannity on his enthusiastic KSL affiliate and what you get is the Republican line of the moment, pure and simple. No difference of view, no debate. And whle I'm at it, let me point out that KSL does three hours of highly Republican programming every day, but no Democratic. Does this imply an endorsement on the part of KSL and its management for the Republican line? YES ABOSOLUTELY. And that's why I no longer listen to KSL. I've found public radio and KRCL adequate alternatives.

Lew Jeppson | 11:33 a.m. and others...

Debating this type of topic and thinking YOU can make some sort of objective and concrete conclusion about which OPINION talk show jock is "right" or "Telling the truth", etc... Is just a fools game.

barberi criticising limbaugh merely higlights the vapid nature of the intolerant left

Honest Luke

Little Tom Barberi's comments were born of jealousy. These young whippersnappers like Glenn Beck come along with talent and ideas, leaving folks like Tom to wallow in anonymity.
