Right you are Deron! Good man!

Best wishes with your family, bud!

I especially like the last statement by DWill about cutting his minutes. Maynor played well and Sloan should be able to see that when DWill comes out, the team will not be hurt. This whole experience really could be a blessing in disguise.

I Think Deron is the best point guard in the league and Eric Maynor is going to be a great backup to him for the next three years. After that, the Jazz will have to let him go like they did with Mo Williams. But for now, it's going to be fun to watch the speedy little guy work his magic on unsuspecting defenses like he did for the last two games. Where does this leave Ronnie Price? Maybe it will work out that we can play our two backup guards, Ronnie and Eric to speed things up when we want to go small or other teams go small. I think we are in the best position in the league with our guards.

Is more of a 2 anyways. When he comes back maybe he can take up some of the minutes that would go to Korver and Miles if they were healthy.

Darren Williams is NOT the best pount guard in the NBA.... he is not even an All Star!!!

Shows how much you know you can't even spell his name right...its Deron. And soon enough he will be an All Star!

say hello to the bench again. I think the only guard you'll be playing is guarding the water cooler.
Just ask Fes and Koufous they play center. The sit center on the bench.

Glad to see you back, Deron! Hope everything is doing well. Let's see you all live up to your potential! Go Jazz!

This is coming from the biggest Jazz fan in Alabama. You all are lucky to watch such a gifted and talented point guard day in and day out. If you all continue to bash him he will go join LaBron or Kobe when his contract is up.

Williams just asked to have his minutes cut, looking at how the Jazz have blow leads in games they should hav won, this should be a big priority!!!

re: Cowboy

Price will get the bench as the 3rd PG..not Maynor. Maynor is already way ahead of both Koufus and Fess. How many years of college ball did those guys play? Kosta 1 and Fess 0. Maynor 4 years.

Sloan will let Price play a couple of token games when he gets back from his toe injury just so he can say "Price did not lose his position to injury" but actually he already did. Maynor will go as the backup.

re: spot on

The Jazz did not lose the games they did because Williams is playing too many minutes. We lost some because he was playing injured and we lost some because the team is lazy and will not play defense.

Deron is young and can easily play 40 minutes/night especially this early in the season. If he is too tired this early in the year then he ought to buy himself a skirt and try out for the WNBA.
re What? | 4:44 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
You are wrong, Sloan never lets a guy lose position to an injury. Moreover, you have to have more than two good starts to convince Sloan of such a change, especially for a rookie. Remember Williams playing second to Keith Mcleod? Maynor will find more minutes but will not take over Price's role, not in the Sloan sysem.
Banks | 6:05 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
Maynor played two great games. Has nothing but positive words from his teammates. And along with Matthews has boosted moral in the Jazz camp. The team will now play as a TEAM, knowing it's not all about DWill - who we are lucky to have. Let's not forget this and get behind the team!
JazzHater | 6:17 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
hate to say this but karma came back and bit the jazz fans right in on the butt. Remember when Fish had to leave because his daughter was sick. Now its your beloved Williams who's going thru the same thing.
Fish | 6:57 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
Was a liar. He manipulated his way out of his contract to return to LA. His daughter's doctor was in NEW YORK!!! He told us he planned to move there and potentially play with the Knicks. Utah is closer to NY than LA is. It hurt Fisher's ego too much to be second fiddle to Deron...
re:JazzHater  | 7:06 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
ya that might be but deron wont leave he's loves the jazz and everyone loves him here in utah. so dont bother and plus hes got a very nice contract the jazz wont let him slip!
Anonymous | 7:43 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
Jazz management let Fish out of his contract. They didn't have to but they did based under the impression that he would go and play by New York where his daughter was getting treated. We found out that Kobe had been trying to get Fisher to leave the Jazz and play for the Lakers. The fact that
LA is not where his daughter was getting treated, and he said he wanted out of his contract so he could be close to New York is why Jazz fans were upset. Are biggest rival is the Lakers and Fish new this. The LA media didn't know the whole picture and couldn't understand why a lot of Jazz fans reacted the way they did.

Let's hold all the raving about the rookies until they've played a few more games! Funny how everyone is jumping on the band wagon with these two new guys. Two games does not make a pro!
re: Cowboy re: what? | 10:30 a.m. Nov. 17, 2009
Uh, you yourself admit "Maynor will find more minutes".

Let me guess Sloan is going to split the 8 minutes a game between the two backups?

He has never done that.

Like I said the first time. When Price gets back he will get his backup slot back so Sloan can stay true to his word. THEN, Price will struggle to run the offense and play proper position defense and Sloan will go to Maynor.

If Maynor plays anything like he has in the last two games THEN Price will go back to the bench as the 3rd PG.

Unless there is an injury or big time foul trouble Sloan will not be splitting 8 to 10 minutes between 2 PG's. He knows it takes minutes to get in a groove.

Price is an effort guy and a big time athlete...HE IS NOT GOOD PG. He struggles to get the time into the offense. He might get some minutes at the two position with Maynor running the point.

Mark my words within 30 days from Price back from injury Maynor will be the backup PG.

Big deal. Sloan already admitted his mistake not playing Deron.
