This is surely a sign that God wants us to actively proselyte to these people, and get them to accept the one true religion.
What a wonderful blessing to those who do accept the truth, are converted, and accept baptism. Not only those who are wandering in confusion, such as those of other Christian faiths, but especially those lost souls coming from the officially athiest countries.

Meet an American Husband/Wife get a Green Card, Nothing more nothing less.

RM's who hope to be able to jump on anything will jump right on that.

I am not sure that I have anything against that.

Quick way to get to be first in line for a better life.

No matter how many Females from China come to America it is still a very small percentage of the population.

In Country Areas of China there is a 20% shortage of Women, do to Chinas One Child Per Family and their methods of enforcing that.

Also in China the Bills are passed on to the Next Generation. Your Parents Dieing does not get the family out of debt.

Remember that these are the Social Card Carrying Elite.

On the other hand if they are legal and can pay their way they are welcome and I wish them the best.

My Quick Books and Excel Teacher is/was from China ( American Citizen Now)and she is a nice lady that I admire greatly. She went out of her way to help her students be successful.

Chinese students coming as part of their government's long-term plan to gain the advantage over the U.S. See, for example, the 60 Minutes broadcast of Nov. 8th. And we are happy to take the short term financial windfall, selling our souls for a bowl of pottage. Chinese students and immigrants are a greater threat than Hispanics will ever be, yet we wig out about the "Mexicans" who have a more appropriate motives.

Sister Smith:

Is that really what you think or are you mimicing some stereotype of what you think Mormons are like?

When I lived in Utah I liked the Eagle Forum. At least they were open and secure in their conservatism. They don't hide it like some of the people in Utah that fancy they are liberal . . . .

Tekakaromatagi, I was wondering the same thing about Sister Smith.

I read that not "any" Chinese student can come here for higher learning. They are required to get as much information about our country as possible, and research seems to be a good possibility. Espionage is encouraged.

Communist countries like China, and students from Iraq and some of the other Near East countries (excluding Israel) should not be allowed to study in this country.

China "brags" about their educational and scientific programs. Why isn't she in one of these?

Most of the Chinese students will find some way to stay in the US. Just like most of the Hispanics will find a way to stay.

Even in these hard times the US a a pretty good place to be.

I live in Canada. One of my three sons went to the US illegally. He went to work for my brother in law doing housing renovations. Most of the workers were Mexican. His fisrt job was for the chief of police of a small California city. When it became known that he was illegal the police chief said: "I don't care, he's not a Mexican."

My son is now legal, married a Mormon in the Oakland temple.

More than just a little racist and it sound like a couple of posters here.

I believe Sister Smith is really a troll that is trying to make Mormons look back and start a fight. That often happens on these blogs. Unfortunatley, some people don't recognize this. It often happens on anything to do with Mormons or BYU. Don't fall for it.

Thank goodness for the international students who give us variety, help us see the world for what it is, and help us in our conversation with our brothers and sisters from other lands. Our science departments would die tomorrow without the int'l students who populate them. Anyone who thinks these students are a threat needs to wake up, grow up, and learn to deal with a wonderful new reality of global engagement. I promise that it will be better than sending brother Billy Bob to war with no promise that he may come back alive or in one piece no matter how patriotic he is.

The LDS Church makes our community as vibrant as it is by sending these young men and women out across the country and world. They come back with a tremendous love and bridge-making ability to those people. However, the international students come here to rub shoulders with Americans and take back that love of our people and culture back to their country and as the next generation of leaders, make friendlier relations with America and invest more in us.
