I am one who believes most coaches don't go to for it on fourth downs nearly enough.

But this one? Unfathomable. Absolutely mind boggling. And yes, I said that BEFORE they failed to convert. You didn't need hindsight on that one.

I thought they were lining up to simply try and get Indy to jump offsides. Holy cow was that some finish. And considering my animosity towards New England goes back to the freaking Tuck Rule...hot dang!
Re: Bob in line | 10:18 a.m. Nov. 16, 2009
I knew they were going for it and not trying to get Indy to jump simply because New England didn't have any more timeouts in which they could've avoided a 5 yard penalty in case the Colts didn't jump. So many things had to go exactly the Colts way on that 4th and 2. The fact that the catch was juggled, therefore could not be given forward progress which would've been a first down. The fact that the play happened just before the 2:00 warning which therefore is not an automatic booth replay and means the coach has to challenge, and the fact the NE was out of timeouts and could not challenge, the fact that they inexplicably burned a timeout the didn't need to (their second) on that same drive. The Colts seem very much like a charmed team.

Manning vs Brady | 11:13 a.m. Nov. 16, 2009
They were trying to see who was the Quarterback of the decade. Manning or Brady. I am not a Brady fan but until Manning wins another Superbowl he will not be considered the best. Both are fantastic quarterbacks.

Lost in all this report is that Collie had dropped a pass that Peyton wanted badly earlier. They fin aly put him back in for the drive that gave them the winning shot at games end. During that drive Peyton went back to Collie for three passes in a row.The last pass collie drew the interferance call against his defender by backing up into him. Those three plays gave them 40 yds. and set up a touch down run that gave them the big play at games end.One sportscaster made the remark that Collie's move against the defender was a play that only Veteran Players make." that was not a Rookie player's move".
