So I suppose that everyone getting married in the DC temple drove up from North Carolina?

I am surprised that this old joke was deemed "fit to publish." I guess there must have been a paucity of letters from Faux News believers telling all of us what the truth is. On second thought, I really should be thankful for small miracles!
Seen that before | 5:35 a.m. Nov. 16, 2009
I think I received that email last year too.
kind of funny | 5:37 a.m. Nov. 16, 2009

So we can look forward to your name on the ballot next round, ready to ride into washington and fix all this? I didn't think so.

That's so old I fell off my dinosaur (A.K.A. a Utah Senator) laughing.
Anonymous | 7:46 a.m. Nov. 16, 2009
And I'll bet you voted for Hatch, Bennett and Bishop.

How'd this one get through? Rehashed lame old joke that I've heard applied to so many places/organizations.
Honest Luke | 9:28 a.m. Nov. 16, 2009
It's still funny. Thanks.
Got me | 9:37 a.m. Nov. 16, 2009
I hadn't heard this joke before so I was ready to be outraged.

Bwahahahahaha!

Utah mirrors Washington. :-)

There's quite enough religious symbology in Washington DC already for my tastes. I don't think we need a lot more or to worry about it.

SLC is having the same problem....

peperlake | 12:19 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009

It's nice to start the day with a smile, old, lame or whatever!
Ernest T. Bass | 3:06 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
It's even more difficult to find any of those in Utah.

You seem to hate Utah and anything related to Utah (well, mostly Republicans, but there are too many Republicans in Utah so you obviously feel obligated to criticise the state in general for that flaw)... but saying Washington DC compares favorably to Utah in these 2 areas... Now that's a little obsurd. DC has a well earned reputation here.

But assuming both postings were jokes... Yours was pretty funny too, but in sort of an adolescent, "I know you are but what am I"... sort of way.

These pages prove daily that the loony left have no sense of humor.

Why are you so uptight each day?

@4:46 --- ETB has nothing good to say about Utah, Repubs, conservatives, Mormons, etc etc.

He's just a grumpy old coot who lives in the hills of Mayberry...

The Bible never mentions how many wise men there were. Why does everyone say it was three?
Jordan T. | 7:55 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
Isn't that how the power-hungry polititians get around in Washington, by their mules?
Heidi | 10:10 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
Cleverly written letter. Thanks!

Hilarious. And true
Anonymous | 7:38 a.m. Nov. 17, 2009
You made my day. How true. We have the best congress that money can buy.
To "Roland Kayser | 5:40 p.m." | 11:35 a.m. Nov. 17, 2009
Why so we always refer to them as "the 3 wise men"? Because that's how many came in the set, duh!
