What a waste of time and money.

So is it letting your light shine so people can glorify God or Praying as the hypocrits do so they may get glory from men.

Or is it judging another? If it were any other type of accomplishment, we would all commend him for attaining his goal.

I think it's great. I would love to do that as well.

I would love to go to every temple in the world. I think it would be a very uplifting and sacred experience. However, I would not want to be on a timetable and rush to each temple but to take my time and enjoy the experience and the area where each temple is located.

I commend Anonymous, Sammy and Anonymous. A non-member cannot recognize or realize the wonderful, uplifting experience it is attending the Temple. Until they become a member and are found worthy they will only have a deep desire and want to know what we are talking about. I think it is wonderful this couple is able to accomplish this life-time dream. Good for them. We all just need to learn to ignore the negative, pray for those who despise us and forgive those that hurt us. The Lord is in control and what is happening today is part of His Plan. This is true.

It is amazing how others accuse you of being selfish, accusing of making a huge cabon footprint. I bet that person would vote to "steal" your money to help someone else instead of doing the deed with their own money and time.

Imagine what the carbon footprint would be if we didn't do this work in the temples.

So would you being saying this if they wanted to visit many soccer arenas or baseball fields throughout the world?

Many people travel to do different things. If this makes them happy and they have the money, more power to them.

Maybe they donate a lot to charity..

WOW....... cool, a Utah man goes around the world in 126 temples, and (the feminist's did not demand equal justice for them, and a trip as well?), now the question remains. How long before gays are offered all the LDS Church offers its members?. And the young ones will cave into their demand's as well. The difference between banning discrimination, and allowing gay marriage, is enormous. Banning discrimination against gays in the job and housing market is far from having a desire to change the familial system. The family is the most important unit in the LDS Church, or is it anymore?, and the world. The LDS Church will never allow gay marriage within its temples, until sued, then for pos PR they will I bet. Will this Utah man that went around the world in 126 temples, see it soon?.

The church used to discourage such tourism temple tours that were operated by travel agencies years ago. What's the difference now?

This seems to be nothing more than Temple "siteseeing" rather than a spiritual quest.

What is wrong with you people? Some of these comments don't even deserve the dignity of a reply. And I must admit "Brother Chuck Schroeder's" ramblings don't even make sense! I think this was a great article. I am glad the man was able to accomplish a goal he set for himself. How many of us can say the same? It really doesn't matter actually what you or I think I guess, because when it is all said and done He Actually DID something and all we did is comment about it. I say GOOD FOR HIM!

I would love to be able to do the same thing, the experience of attending the temple is sacred and uplifting and those "of the world" will always criticize and try and bring people down to their level. We'll pray for you Sara, hopefully your heart will be softened and you can focus on things that make the world a better place as opposed to trying to cause conflict and bring others down.

Chill out. Let the man take a tour. If you don't want to, don't, but don't feel a need to weigh in on his choice. What choices do we all make that others would think are odd?
CuriousUt | 4:36 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
Since Iam not a member tell me what is the thrill or whatever the stimulation is to visit so many temples? are they not all the same in other cultures? The travel part for me would be great but the other aspect is not understandable.

Everyone wants to chill out. If the man wants to spend his time and money that way then who is anyone to tell him otherwise?

If someone wants to do a tour of wineries, breweries, cathedrals, museums.

I find it interesting that someone refers to hypocrites and judging this man, what does that make you? You must feel like a really big person for doing this.

Man, there are some really weird blogs on here. The professional Mormon haters have really come out in force.

This man is doing something wonderful. Good for him. Just ignore some of these hateful comments. They are made by unhappy people with empty lives who feel guilty and are trying to justify themselves.

Brother Hansen will be blessed for his service and all who enter the Temple of the Lord will find peace, happiness and blessings in their lives.

What a wonderful story. I used to dream about doing this as well when there were only 26 temples. But today with the church expanding so rapidly, it will not be far off when we can truly stand on the rooftop of one temple and be able to see the next temple as promised in the D&C.

I am having trouble understanding the difference between attending 126 temples and attending 1 temple 126 times, can anyone explain this?
Adventurer | 7:51 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
Fantastic! I know people who climb mountains on every continent, or visit art museums in every city or cathedrals all over Europe. How wonderful that this man is true to his dream and visits the temples of his faith doing service in them. We all should aspire to adventure and growth and learning in our own ways and not waste time judging another's method of personal progression. Good for him!

I remember, as a kid, hearing about people who had been to all the LDS temples. All 13 of them.
Wow, times have changed!

Two words: CARBON FOOTPRINT
Re: Adventurer | 9:06 a.m. Nov. 17, 2009
"People who visit cathedrals all over Europe" One big difference,You do not need a pass to gain entrance, but Europe does have the Mormon equivalent in Masonic Temples.

My husband and I had a goal to do that. Just then temple building exploded and our goal was unattainable to us. Kudos to this man for doing it. What a wonderful experience it must have been.

To Brother Schorder: If you have studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon you would know that our Heavenly Father is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. That he doesn't change just because man changes. God has ordained from the Beginning that marriage is between man and woman. That is the law. That was taught in Old Testament Times, New Testament Times and today. It is a wonderful spiritual upliftment to go to each temple around the world. Each is different on the outside and the inside. The ceremonies in each is the same regardless where you go. However, those in other countries are spoken primarially in the native tongue but you can get English sessions or a headset translating the ceremony into ones native tongue.

Families are very important to the LDS Church. ETERNAL FAMILIES. Same-sex marriage is not eternal and can not be. The Lord has not changed this doctrine from the beginning of time. Does anyone really expect the Lord to change it now? This is the Lord Jesus Christ's church upon the earth. Someday I would like to attend each temple but I know that is probably not possible.
