How does BYU jump to 18 when they lost a home game to an unranked Florida St. team, and barely beat a team that has yet to win a game this year by 5. The Utes lost on the road to two top 10 ranked teams. Something "fishy" here, or just plain stinks! Then again.... who reads USA Today anyway?

"How does BYU jump to 18..."

Because the pollsters are smart enough to look at the whole season and not just a single game, like a Utah homer would do.

Because coaches vote and coaches only know their own team and who their team has played. They don't have time to watch games. They see a score. I'm sure some of them have no clue where what the record of many of the teams are.
