I wonder what goes through his head sometimes...what was he doing on that 3? Selfish or stupid...which is it?

Don't worry Jazz fans! Williams is out but we have Andrei Kirilenko to take any shot beyond the three point line, even 28 footers with twenty seconds on the shot clock!

Andrei's ill-advised 3 may have done us in, but what an effort. 2-2 on a 4 game roadie ain't too shabby, especially without Deron. Nice play by the rookies.

AK47 clearly shouldn't have attempted that 3, but in his defense, the Cavs denied the inbounds pass and nearly got a 5 second count turnover, ultimately leaving the Jazz with a broken play which lead to the bad decision made on the fly.

But if we are going to lament boneheaded last minute plays, let's not leave out Maynor's bad foul with 20 seconds left that put LeBron on the line to change a 2 point (1 possession) game into a 4 point (2 possession) game.

Before anyone claims the Jazz only kept it close because Shaq was out, they need to check the season stats. The list of centers that are scoring and rebounding more than Shaq is long and includes Okur, Jermain O'Neal, Marc Gasol, etc.

Yes, it was a road loss, but seriously, did anyone expect differently?

The Jazz had a 1 point lead with just 42 seconds left in the game and gave the Cavs a good scare.

Dressing only 9 players, the Jazz definitely have my respect for these last two games. Well done.

Oops!

Haters are wrong again.

Y'all say Williams scores too much, but Maynor put up 24 in Cleveland.

*pointing finger* HA ha!

AK blew it big time.
Here was a big road trip win in their sights and Kryalenko chucks it up.

Kudos to the rookies!

Where has the 3pt shot gone?

Terrific effort tonight. I'd love to see Jerry play Maynor and Williams together, with Millsap and Boozer at forward, and Okur at center. Think about that lineup...it would be tremendous. It would be very difficult for anyone in the league to defend.
Okur would stretch the defense with his ability to hit the outside shot, Boozer and Millsap could pound away down low in the paint, Williams could look to be more offensive minded, and Maynor could get the defense in a scramble with his ability to get into the paint. Just a thought.

Man it was close. Boozer yelled shoot it. If you see replay but that doesn't make any excuse he should keep his head cool. Now fair weather fanz will jump on bandwagon. James was checked until last minutes he has only 15 something points. Cleveland plays better without Shaq.

Good game. Someone like Miles predicting blow out loss didn't happen. loss is loss.

Go AK.

@Casey

Yeah, and what the whole team is waiting for is for DWill to pass the ball!

Before everyone gets all rabid about AK47's failed 3 attempt...

An NBA basketball game is 48 minutes long.

Nearly all fans, and many players, fail to see that each minute is just as important as the other.

In other words, the Jazz would have survived Andre's boneheaded 3, and Maynor's brain dead foul, if they wouldn't have let the Cavs have a 34 to 22 head start in the first quarter!

The 12 point hole they dug themselves came back to haunt them at game's end, because it robbed them of any buffer that could have absorbed either Jazz mistakes, or heroic efforts by the Cavs.

At any rate, why does everyone have to rag on these guys all the time? Are Jazz fans obsessed with being negative?

Give the some Jazz credit, Cleveland has a very stingy defense and had only one loss at home all last season.

Six of the eight players the Jazz suited up scored in double figures. It was a balanced, team effort with ball and player movement.

Broken play? | 9:53 p.m. Nov. 14, 2009
There shouldn't have been a broken play, other than to get the ball in. AK should have taken the ball out to the top of the arc and set up the offense. That shot cost us the game! Well, OK, there were probably other plays earlier that also didn't work, but that play cost us a shot at winning what was at that point a 1-pt game. Not sure what AK was thinking.

But I have to admit, when I flipped over to sneak a peak, it was far closer than I was expecting. Based on the Boston game, I would not have been surprised to see the Jazz behind by 20 in Cleveland too.

I agree with all of the people being negative to go find a new team to rag on. The jazz played with heart and especially with starting two rookies. Cleveland is picked by a lot of people to be in the finals this year and let's not forget that they only lost twice at home last year. I am proud of Maynor and Matthews, I just wish that our veterans would step it up a little more, surprisingly, not including Boozer. But great effort and good job, You do have some fans that are proud of what you do.
Go Jazz!!!

Tough loss | 10:08 p.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Even though the Jazz lost, it was a great effort considering they played the night before and Cleveland is a very good team. I cringed when Ak took that 3 point shot, but I think the turnovers and terrible 3 point defense did them in more than anything.

@CJ3

Given that I don't see anyone else "*pointing finger*" or "HA ha!" at anyone else, you appear to be the only here behaving like a hater... but don't worry, the night is still young.

I don't know about anyone else's opinion, but speaking just for myself...

I love Deron Williams. I have always thought he was better than Chris Paul.

And I don't think the problem with DWill is that he scores too much, but I do think this year he seems to be playing more for his glory than his teams.

I also think the Jazz are more successful when he moves the ball.

For example, DWill averages 18.5 shots per game in the Jazz losses this year, and 11.3 shots in their victories.

Likewise, Maynor had 14 shot attempts and 11 assists in their win against Philly, and 16 shot attempts and just 4 assists in the Jazz loss at Cleveland.

In other words, I'm not hating on DWill, I'm just pointing out the Jazz win more often when he shoots just a little bit less and passes a little bit more.

Losing dwill really forced the other starters to dig themselves out of their rut and play tough ball. Hard loss at the end but a great performance nonetheless. Who new it would be our rookies showing the real heart and guts these past couple games. Keep it up!

And if AK..... | 10:36 p.m. Nov. 14, 2009
makes that shot, he's a hero!!!!!

It's part of the game. I'll take the 2009 Ak that seems to have found his shot again vs the 07-08 AK that looked lost out there. JAzz are going to get things turned around. 2-2 on the road, that would have been awesome last year.
