Congrats to my team on a undefeated season and winning the State Championship! It was perfect football weather and Duchesne played a good game and made it interesting and fun to watch. Congrats to them on a fine season as well and to region 16!
I just hope that our B-ball team can do as the football team and play together as a team! If you can, I think a state championship is possible! But b-ball is a whole different game and when we have the kind of talent we have..... individual egos have a tendency to raise their ugly heads and the team work ends!
Any how enjoy the victory! You boy's, as a team, Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors earned it!

Congratulations Rebels. You are a fine football team. Today you captured your dream! As Eagle fans we did hope however that all those Rebel Academic All- State recipients would have answered the first call and gone to the north west end zone instead of staying in the game at the end of the first half! (joke) Now that you are champions, you have much to live up to. We are sure you are up to it. Thanks again for the fun of watching a great team. See you in B.B. Good luck and again congratulations.

Great job Rebels! You did us proud! You are a great bunch of kids.

Duschense team, keep your heads up, you worked very hard this year.

Do they play 8 man or 6 man football anywere in Utah? Idaho used to have 11 man a-4 now 1-a teams but now all teams that are 1-a play 8 man football even though some schools have numbers to play 11 man. Just don't have teams close by to play 11 man.

Congrats Rebels it was a great team effort, what is most impressive about your team is the way you conduct yourselves on and off the field. Coaches you are to be commended.

Outsider looking in. This is why I love small town football. Comments on this board show the love for the game and kids. And thats what it is about the kids. 1a and 2a football is a town effort. There is nothing better in sports.
Senior Rebel Parents | 11:45 a.m. Nov. 15, 2009
Wow, 9 awesome years echoing Cornelisons! We have loved every minute of it and every boy is better because of it. Football brang you all together. Something you could all do and achieve at together for a common cause that needs every person no matter what their talent might be. Please you other schools out there considering this, think of what football can do for your community that you can not achieve in any other sport. Stay close you guys, remember what Bradley said yesterday about splitting apart socially. Hang together this year. We love you guys and we love #21 Hayden McKee!! He is a better person because of all you guys and his High School football coaches, Junior High coaches (who were at the game) and Little League coaches (who were at the game also!!!) Thanks to all of you! I know that all of you would have handed that trophy to someone else if they would have asked you to choose between your experience yesterday and Whitehorse. Isn't is great you could have BOTH!! Love Waldo! (to my no name friends and looks like I was right about Bradley's arm!)

Words cant describe the feeling of winning a state title. Ive had the time of my life playing this year, and I would just like to thank my coaches, parents, and community for this wonderful opportunity to play. I would like to thank this amazing group of seniors for the wonderful year playing with them, Bradley, Caden, Cooper, Tyson, Clint, Hayden, Tate, Kalon, Chad, Tyrel, Austin, and of course Justice. I will never forget playing with you guys it was an awesome privilege, and most of all the memories made while fighting side by side in the trenches with my older brother will never be forgotten. I love ya Tyson! From running up the hill by our football field with our team to storming the field after we won, its all a fantastic memory. I love all you guys.

Just wondering how many boys play football at RICH High ,and how many dress varsity and why dont you play under lights.
TED | 4:10 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
1A and 2A sports is awesome! You have to be raised and have roots in these small towns to understand why it's the best.

I was raised in one of these small towns in Utah and over the years have told numbers of people about our childhood in this small town. The no.1 comment; "I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO HAVE HAD THAT TYPE OF A CHILDHOOD".

You have to live it to understand it!
Re: Salt lake Native | 6:14 p.m. Nov. 16, 2009
We have around 35 to 40 on our team, and they all dress varsity, and if you've ever been to randolph you would know that it's way to cold to have lights. Anyways that's the only reason that I know of why we don't have lights.
But we have a championship community, school, and of course a football team!!!
Way to go guys, undefeated!
RE: Salt Lake Native | 8:39 a.m. Nov. 17, 2009
We would love to have lights, but a limited small school budget has not allowed for this. We are also desperately in need of a new field as the one we currently have does not hold up. Grass goes dormant to early and we play on hard dirt and mud near the end of the season.
Rebel fan | 4:38 p.m. Nov. 17, 2009
If you've ever been up in the mountains, you know that as soon as the sun goes down, it gets COLD. Yes, even in the summer. Playing at night would be insane, therefore no night games. Budget issues, too, we are a poor school district, Ranchers, no industry, etc. It would make no sense to spend $$$ on lights. A new field, however would be a good investment. Currently the Track team has to practice on the roadways or inside halls. We have no track, But we do have championship trophys in track & field.
We make do and evidently..... do it well.
