Hey Dick -

Do you think BYU was lucky that NM missed those field goals and PAT?

Do you think BYU was outplayed by NM?

I don't know...I think I'd bench Chambers. I think he hurts this team more than he helps; fumbles, big mouth, big penalties...when will he learn?

I have to post it someplace where it might get read.

Did anyone notice anything else about the Utah/TCU game last night? I mean, how ugly the uniforms were. TCU used to have one of the best in the nation, then they let Nike ruin them. Those hideously ugly helmets and pants. Nike once did something like that to BYU. Someone at Nike does not have a clue.

TCU used to have really nice looking helmets. Not anymore. The pants look like they cam right out of the garbage can. And what happened to Utah's helmets? They used to have nice red shiny ones, and now they've gone back to dull red, the symbol of their mediocrity before Urban Meyer. Maybe they were just going to use the old ones for one game when they knew they were going to get plastered.

I actually like the Utes. I think it's great to have two good teams from the state, but it becomes difficult to cheer for the Utes when there is so much trash talk against the Cougars. I start too really dislike them (utes). Go TCU! It's not the players or coaches, but the fans which stir anger and hatred. With that said, Ute fans have little to brag about in basketball or football for this week. Save your negative comments for another time.
Move BYU out of top 25!! | 10:28 p.m. Nov. 15, 2009
BYU is NOT a top 25 team. Not even a top 40 team. I'm sure the pollsters will boot BYU out of the top 25 after this embarrasing performance against New Mexico. Hard to get excited over BYU football anymore.

Didn't anyone notice the horrible fieldsd conditon? The camera using slow motion showed divets all over the place. Running backs were unable to drive straight ahead and WR's were not making cuts. Couldn't NM athletic officials cover the field? They certainly new about the bad weather was going to drench the city including the play field??? Was this done on purpose? NM football coaches knew BYU had a big passing game and figured a soaking wet field could disrupt and slow down Hall and his WR's????? I smell an unintended break!!
BYU vs NM | 7:31 a.m. Nov. 16, 2009
As many of our opponents demonstrate we are always a big game on their schedule which means we often get their best effort.

This is a a moral victory for the NM players as many of our other opponents take away as well.

The problem I've been having with BYU lately is sometimes it seems like our players settle for moral victories as well. That said, wouldn't this be kind of like a moral loss for BYU?

Side note - 29 wins is not enough for Max's legacy at this point in time - he needs that winning record against Utah and in bowl games so he needs to at least get that to 31 and preferably 32.

Hmmmmm......I dunno.

Chambers acts mighty confident but he seems to make too many mistakes for a guy who's supposed to be a standout wide receiver. By my count I've seen two big penalties and at least one big dropped pass this year alone.

Not saying he can't be great in the future but so far I think his talk exceeds his performance.

Anybody else agree?
