Utes don't even have the women to fall back on this year. It is going to be a looooooooooooooooong winter.

Utes dropped off last year after their one year "hired gun" point guard left. This year it appears they don't have a replacement for Warburton. Could be a long year. It will be interesting to see what the future holds.

Best bball school in the state huh? USU has played and won how many games in the tourney, and has gotten to the NCAA final how many times, and how many sweet 16 appearances?

BYU, Utah, Utah State, Weber, Westminster, SLCC all have their games covered by Deseret News. Not a thing about Utah Valley University's 80-72 win over North Dakota State, an NCAA tournament team last year. When will the news wake up and realize UVU is an NCAA D-I school? There's a tab for every D-I school in the State on the web site except UVU. What's up? UVU men's basketball has had a winning record against NCAA Div-I competion for all six years in the NCAA and for 26 straight years overall. Hello out there --- why not give UVU just a teensy bit of credit or coverage?

Calm down! utah state, weber, westiminister, and slcc are barely mentioned compared to utah and byu. doesnt really matter how good they are utah and byu will always be favored.

Comparison
U of U Mens and Womens Basketball: Both been to the Sweet Sixteen a few times and are both in rebuilding years.
BYU Mens and Womens Basketball: Consistently mediocre
U of U football: 2 BCS wins. In a rebuilding year.
BYU football: Consistently mediocre.

Ill take the larger national prestige over being mediocre all the time any day of the week.

All I can say is...you gotta love the USU womens basketball team and where they have come from. It wasn't too many years ago that they didnt even have a women's b-ball team and now they beat the Utes? Gotta love it Baby!
