Some People are alive only because it is against the law to kill them.

This whole thing should have been over and done with years ago. What ever happened to a Speedy Trial.

The Victim should be entitled to one also. The healing cannot take place until the B.S. is over.

You cannot heal from wounds if the Scabs are continue to be picked.

I am glad Ms. Smart is going on a Mission, I am also glad that the Mission is to Paris France.See is a very nice Faithful and Talented young women. After her Mission is over I hope that she can lead some kind of a close to Normal Life. My family and I wish her the very best.

I admire her Dad, and like him I never thought she was Dead. Thanks to a couple of good Cops she is back with us a BYU Grad and an Endowed Member Of The Church (would have like to been a bug on that wall)and headed on a Mission.

To much worry and concern over their mental state and their rights. To much worry about them having a perfact and legal trial.

It has been years now when it should have been only weeks or months. Some people have their whole careers mostly wrapped around this case.

We worry far to much about the Perps and not nearly enough about the Victim.

At Ft.Hood they worry not so much that 14 people where killed and 31 wounded and 100's of lives where changed forever. The Media worrys about what drove him to do it and who is the blame other then him,

This Kudnapping will take further months and years to sort out and no matter what the conviction there will be an appeal(s). The Taxpayers have got to pay the lawyers on both sides and those people do not work cheap.

No one is going to Defend Mitchell or Barzee Pro Bono.

It took years to kill McVay, because the appeals where automatic.

This needs to be way over.

Well, they can't finish the trial, because Mitchell keeps acting crazy, so he goes to an insane house, instead of jail. So they can't convict him of a crime until that is resolved. Just give it time, they are trying to find a way to convict him, instead of just releasing him for not having the mental capacity to actually have commited that crime. If he keeps pretending to be crazy, Barzee is what we need to convict him, if she will testify against him.

One is trying to look like an upstanding member of society; the other like a lunatic.
Both are legal defenses.
The only consolation is that neither is likely to walk among us freely. Either insane or imprisoned, they are locked away.
If the family believes convictions will help heal Elizabeth, I say, "Get on with it."

Let's face it, Mitchell will always be singing some song in the courthouse to pretend he is crazy. We know he is. It sounds like Wanda is coming around and ready to face the consequences of her actions.

This reminds me of the movie "Primal Fear" with Richard Gere and Edward Norton. Norton acts all messed up and over time people give into the story he wasn't capable or mentally stable to have committed this crime (murder). But, in the end after he was not convicted he showed his true side and there was nothing anyone could do about it. Mitchel is just trying to play his cards right due to our messed up system.

Give them a fair trial then kill them. Not so political correct but fair and effective.

I would hope that if competency has really returned to Wanda that she would testify against Brian and then their could be compassion shown to Wanda as she too is a victim. Wanda is a daughter of a valient mother who loves her, a mother, an accomplished organist/pianist, and the victim of two vicious men.
