Keep your heads held high boys, noone expected you to do what you have done this year. You have nothing to be ashamed of, we are all very proud of you all. For those who return next year, remember how far you have come, and keep the momentum going.
OUCH! | 9:25 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Hunter season is finally over, and it was a good season and nothing to be ashamed of. To the rest of the region we will be back next season, remember Ekuasi Tavo is only a junior. GO HUNTER

Way to go Davis! show everyone region 1 is for real! Bingham is a tough team but if your defense plays their best game i think you guys can win it all. My alma mater showed Bingham a good half. Its hard for me to root for you guys cuz i was a football player but its for the region so lets go Davis! GO REGION 1!
ANONYMOUS | 10:06 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
WOW! WAY TO GO DAVIS, YOU COMPLETELY DESTROYED HUNTER. HEY HUNTER! "POUND IT, POUND IT". POUND WHAT? OH WAIT YOU MEANT GET POUNDED.

HunterAlumni2004 | 10:17 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Davis i am not going to comment or say much about that victory, Both teams played well and Hunter overcame a lot to just get to play on the turf they beat skyline cottonwood and beat Weber and went 4 overtimes with Lone Peak now lets see Davis do that with with them or even Bingham.
Davis will get embarrassed by Bingham next week cause they know how to stop the run
Re:Re: Davis | 10:25 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
41-17 Respect That!!! GO DAVIS. Tanner Hinds No.1 Back in the state in yards & TD's
re:hunteralumni2004 | 10:54 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Davis killed weber who hunter barely beat, Davis killed west who hunter lost to, Davis beat the so called best team in the state with 8 D1 recruits pleasant grove in regulation not OT and finally...please 41-17 enough said!
Hey Davis | 11:10 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
"classiest Fans in the state" right? Show it. Hunter knows you beat them. No need to say it on here
PG Fan | 11:47 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Im heading up to the game this next friday for one reason and one reason only. To watch the Davis RB
Re:Hey Davis | 11:48 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
If it had been 41-17 for Hunter, you'd be doing the exact same thing.

Go Darts!
Davis Alum | 11:51 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009
Davis, let's show some class. No need to trash talk. We have a tough game coming up so let's just enjoy the win in a humble manner. Go Darts, give it your all!
ANONYMOUS | 12:18 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Ok not to be rude here, but check the stats, Hinds isnt first in yards and TD's. Adam Bunting overall if u were to see him play in real life, and watch a whole game, is the leader in state. He can make bad situations turn into good situations and get Layton some big yards. Layton didnt win much but hey, we had one major player and that was him. Hinds is good, hes just not the best...
Hey Davis! | 12:34 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Calm down! I know your mad at all these bloggers that say that you dont have a shot and that BINGHAM is over looking you. Trust me Bingham is not over looking you and they respect what you have done. Just be ready to play, you thought Brightons D was good against the run you havent seen anything yet! Good luck youll need it, but anything can happen in the playoffs!

told you guys hunter wasnt that good.
Region one fan | 12:58 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
It's too bad Davis never gets any credit for anything in High School sports, it's always about Alta and Brighton. The news never talks about Davis or they are never televised or given any credit and look how far Davis has come. Why wasn't Davis televised on TV ,it's always Alta? Why doesn't the news stations televise when Davis plays it's always Alta? Way to go Davis you won't even have to play Alta for the finals but in the end they will only talk about Alta, it gets really old. Good Luck Davis

Good job guys, let's keep it going for Bingham also. I just received an email from He-Man and he said you guys are masters of the universe. Rule well.

Roll Bingham Roll | 7:26 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Should be a fun matchup.
Re: Anonymous | 8:20 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Maybe you should check the stats again. Bunting only leads in yards per game. Hinds has rushed for more yards and TDs.
11 v 16 | 8:30 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
I guess Hunter struggles when they have to play 11 v 11. It is unfortunate when Hunter does get the "help" from the five officials. Hunter showed that they did not belong with the elite 5A teams. Maybe next year they can bring their favorite five officals to ensure better results. Go Davis!
Davis Fan | 8:56 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Congratulations to Coach Bishop and Davis High Football for another great victory.
As a Davis fan I have nothing but admiration and praise for the Hunter Wolverines, their players, coaching staff, and fans. During the game, Hunter played their game like true sportsmen. After the game, the players and coaches congratulated the Davis players and coaches like old friends, and Hunter's Head Coach made a special point of congratulating Tanner Hinds and wishing him well after the game. Straight up, nothing but class.
Dear "Davis!", Hunter fan doesn't need to give the Darts any praise, their class players and coaching staff did a fine job of that last night. If you would have seen that last night, it might have changed your perspective. Moreover, Davis has never needed or wanted the attention of the SL media because their agenda is simply different than ours.
The class acts that the players, coaches and fans from West, Pleasant Grove and Hunter have demonstrated during the playoffs has been very impressive and Davis fans should recognize and appreciate that.
Hunter Alum | 9:21 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Congrats on a great season Hunter Wolverines. There's nothing to be ashamed of, Davis is a very good football team. I was impressed with their ability to run the ball. I was a little dissapointed with some of Hunter's play calling. That double pass right before half-time was the beginning of the end. I don't understand why Hunter went to a trick play when the running game was still working. Anyway, my hats off to Davis. Prove everyone wrong and please beat Bingham.
Hinds | 9:22 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
is overrated. He will be held under 100 yards against Bingham.

Bingham beat Viewmont who handily beat Davis. Davis will get blown out! Watch Fowler throw 3-4 picks in this game as they have to throw to come from behind.

Sorry Davis the easy bracket ends here.
To Adam Buntings Dad. | 9:38 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Are you kidding me?
Davis Dart | 9:44 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
I thought both teams played well. I think the difference was Davis was able to capitalize on Hunter Mistakes. Davis fumbled the ball 3 times in the first half and they still had a 21-10 lead at half. If Hunter had been able to do something with those turnovers it would have been a closer game. But, that is part of the game. I didn't agree with going for the touchdown late in the 4th qtr already up 35-10. I thought they should have kicked the field goal. But that was an impressive leap into the end zone.

I liked watching those Hunter running backs. They ran hard and they had some good moves. Lots of respect for Hunter. Great program with a great future.

Davis, Good luck against Bingham. I will be there rooting on the Darts. If you can keep it close I think you'll have a chance late.
Davis Alum | 9:47 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Congrats Davis on a great win over a great team!! You played tough and hard. Celebrate, yes, but you have got to FOCUS. Bingham is going to be your toughest game of the year. They are BIG and STRONG. They had to pull tricks out of their hats to beat Alta, but they did it. You can beat them, but it won't be easy. Good luck next week!!!
Anonymous | 10:18 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
If you think Adam Bunting is as good as Tanner Hinds then you know nothing about football. Sure, Bunting might have more yards, but he is in no way a better running back than Hinds. Bunting will not even get a look to play college ball and colleges' will be all over Hinds.
Anonymous | 10:25 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
why would bingham be overlooking the championship game?
T HINDS  | 10:27 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Hunter got POUNDED!! AND POUNDED!!! AND POUNDED!!! AND POUNDED!!!!
Hunter Alum | 10:28 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
I am surprised Hunter had enough guys eligible to even play the game. Most of them get eligible during the summer and then forget to even attend class during first quarter which makes them ineligible for the playoffs because of too many F's. Region 2 isn’t that good. It goes to show the schools in Region 2 will never win a title. Every one of the schools except for Hunter should really be in 4A.
Anonymous | 10:47 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Lau u r a great kid u got us to the turf and u will go down as one of the best rb is hunter history sorry u tore your acl and couldn't play it would have been closer. Brett bro your freaking leg was broken. I have never herd of a highschool qb who played 2 games on a broken leg. You r a stud and you have given every kid for years to come motivation to push through pain for the things you want in life. Moses you r a special kid and it's to bad that u got suspended and couldn't play but let that experience motivate u for the next two years. Boys you r amazing and you put 5a on notice we r back. It will be much harder for Bingham and the east side schools to steal our kids now. Thanks boys. Davis played a great game and they deserve to play next week. Good luck darts u can do it. Oh and to west high we will see u next year.
re: region one fan | 10:49 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
I also was wondering why the game wasn't televised. I think kjzz was covering the jazz game? not sure...Alta deserves the hype this year because they were the two time defending 5A champs...gotta respect that. Davis can win over the state's attention if they actually can go out and beat a solid Bingham team. We'll see how that goes.
Anonymous | 11:20 a.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Actualy Davis everybody thought u were going to beat hunter u were favored in both papers. And u won. Your kids played tough. I am obviously impartial to our kids and I think lau ( our starting rb) is the best in the state but he tore his acl in the lone peak game u would have enjoyed watching him although our rb last night was very good and he is just a junior. But there isn't any question hinds is a outstanding rb and very under rated. He should be the 5a MVP assuming u win next week. The TE won the game for u guys. Third and long he is money and very gutsy. If u want to win state the defense has got to improve. Our second string back had nearly 200 yards against u and binghams rb is much bigger and better. U can do it though play tough and know that u guys deserve to be where u r right now. Let all those fools eat crow that said the title was won for Bingham yesterday. Go darts and very classy group of boys

Reading the comments about this game last week from Hunter fans I say WoW. Now you get to eat your words. Hunter had a great turnaround, no one questions that. But when you get ahead of yourselfs and run your mouths, this is what happens. As a Hunter fan lets show a little class. The Hunter High Football team should hold their heads up high and be proud of what they accomplished and leave it at that.

"It's too bad Davis never gets any credit for anything in High School sports, it's always about Alta and Brighton."
Region one fan, thank you for the laugh!
You complain that Davis doesn't get any recognition because the media is always writing aboug Bingham and Alta and you write "Alta and Brighton".
The Salt Lake newspapers are written with a Salt Lake Valley readership in mind. If you want to read about Davis High School, ask the Ogden newspaper to write stories about them. You may have more success with that. But you have to remember, just as the fans in Utah County and points south must, both the big newspapers write stories mostly for a Salt Lake County readership.
Re: BT | 5:05 p.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Thanks a lot for breaking it down for us, you are such a genius. Stats mean nothing- it's a championship game!
RE: Salt Lake Valley | 8:08 p.m. Nov. 14, 2009
This coming from a Davis County Resident: Just a Geography lesson Davis High is in Davis County so reading an Ogden newspaper would be like a Salt Lake Newpaper to us. I guess I will stick with The Davis County Clipper. Yes, we are a small county but, we do exist. Good luck Davis and Bingham, may the best team win!
Syracuse Alum | 9:44 p.m. Nov. 14, 2009
Good luck next week Davis, continue raising the attention about Region 1s ability. Syracuse couldn't do it against Bingham, its up to you.
HUNTER! | 10:22 p.m. Nov. 14, 2009
come on now davis! you guys did great, but remember that hunter's star RB La'au.Tanuvasa wasnt playing. if he was then it would've been a whole different story.. and to the west fan you guys are lucky hunter didnt have you guys later in the season.. GOOD JOB HUNTER! GREAT SEASON. GET WELL SOON LAAU
Ballin | 1:01 a.m. Nov. 15, 2009
Anyone who keeps saying HInds is over rated is absolutely nutz!!! He is number one in 5A In all stats!!! Which is ridiculous when people think he isn't good. He is totally underrated by everyone. Second, Bingham did beat viewmont handely, but when Davis lost to viewmont it was a very close game in which penalties ended up losing it for the darts. A game in which they should have won. So the title game this week should be a good one, no matter how good people think Bingham is.
I LOVE FOOTBALL | 4:44 a.m. Nov. 15, 2009
The Davis person that keeps talking trash on Hunter just needs to get a life... I think both teams were great but where would Davis be if Tanner Hinds couldn't play due to a torn acl like La'au Tanavasa. Both teams did great and though Region 2 is not the toughest region, Hunter beat Lone Peak in the BEST high school football game of the year and LP was ranked in the top 5 for most of the season. West beat Hunter while Hunter was still finding its feet. Hunter made some adjustments and the wins started rolling in... Coach Pearce checked their grades weekly so they did not have GPAs where they needed to be just for the summer. These boys and this coaching staff put Hunter back on track... With so many players being Juniors, You will continue to be a force to be reckoned with!!
Junior PACKED team | 10:00 a.m. Nov. 15, 2009
Davis is a JUNIOR PACKED program and they have a tremendous Jr. class waiting for there chance to start for the Brown & Gold go boy's build on your state victories and finish strong...Teia Teia Te Ala Nui !!!! "Stay On the Path " my little brothers....
Darts Fan | 11:14 a.m. Nov. 15, 2009
There is no need for anyone to be talking smack on thos game. Davis and hunter are 2 super programs with great kids and coaches. It was a hard fought game by both sides. Unfortunantly injusres occur and that's a tough part of the game. The Hunter coach has turned that program around and they will be back for sure. Davis, keep riding the momentum and do what you do, run the ball and play tough D.
