Name of soldier killed in Afghanistan added to BYU memorial

I too am a BYU graduate and a Physician Assistant serving our country in Iraq and understand his feelings of wanting to serve. I am proud he was one of us, as we PA s are a close group. My prayers are with his family.

Yes, thank you Capt. Jenkins and your family for the sacrifice you made for me and my family. We live in a wonderful country.

No sacrifice is greater than this. "When you are in the service of your fellowman, you are in the service of your God." And when mortality is forfeited during that service, it is the ultimate of sacrifices. What more can we say than "THANK YOU" to Cory and ask Heaven's blessings upon his family, for which we also say a mighty "THANK YOU".

No man or woman with honorable motives, focused skills, and the desire to treat the wounded serving in a cause he believes in ever dies in vain.

Captain Jenkins becomes yet another who offered his own life to improve the lot of others. Those of us who remain will remember his example and improve our own efforts to serve.

Such a man can never have died in vain.

My wife and I knew Cory while he was at BYU. From the moment you met him you knew that this was someone special. May his family be blessed for his sacrifice.

My heart goes out to his family and young daughter. May our Heavenly Father comfort your soul that your husband and father was taking care of men and women protecting our country, our freedom and our way of life. I'm truly sorry that all I can offer is a meaninglys thank you for your sacrifice.

I know Cory and his family. They live in our neighborhood and we love them. Cory is really a great example of kindness, loyalty, and devotion. Thanks to BYU for remembering a true American hero who went to war, not to fight, but to help build and teach others to care and strengthen.

It's sad when a truly Great One is taken. I'm sure he'll be a Great One on the other side of the veil.

God Bless his wife and daughter and other family members at this time of great loss.
